tissues that collect excess fluid and return it to your blood.

Lymph capillaries Smallest vessels of the lymphatic system.

Lymph The fluid and particles absorbed into lymph

capillaries.

Bone Marrow Soft tissue inside of bones. Where most red and white blood cells, including

lymphocytes, are produced.Lymph Nodes

Small, bean-shaped masses of tissue that remove pathogens and dead cells from the lymph.

Thymus Gland that produces T cells that are ready to fight infection.

Spleen Largest lymphatic organ. Stores and produces lymphocytes.

Red pulp Removes damaged red blood cells

from circulatory system.White pulp

Produces white blood cells that fight infection.

Tonsils Lymphatic tissue in the nasal cavity and at the back

of the mouth on either side of the tongue. Help defend the body against infection.
