Documents Needed

• Photo ID– Driver’s License– Passport– Bus Card– Etc.

• Proof of Current Address– Bill– Mail– Lease Agreement– Etc.

Juvenile Library Cards

• If the applicant is under 18, we must see the ID and proof of address of the parent or legal guardian

• Parent/Legal guardian is responsible for any fines and fees on the card

• Cardholder Confidentiality

Borrowing Policy

• Items can be checked out from any SPL branch• SPL items check out for 21 days.• Partner libraries have different loan periods• 3 Renewals if item does not have a hold– Renew Online, Phone, or any SPL branch

• Item Limits– 30 Items– 5 DVDs

• Items can be returned to any SPL branch

Items check out for free!– This includes books, dvds, cds, audiobooks,

magazines, playaways, etc.

• Items will be assessed a late fee if they are not renewed or returned by the due date.

• The complete fine & fee policy can be found on our website.

• Simplified Version:– Adult SPL Items: $.25/day – Juvenile SPL Items: $.05/day

• Partner libraries may have different fine structure.
