  • Costa Rica is a very outrageous country. In these slides we will tell you and describe all about Costa Rica. We will tell you about their animals, their traditions and where they live. Costa Rica has many animals like green tree frogs they also have American animals like monkeys, and slots. Costa Rica has many crabs and also have birds too. Costa Rican kids go to school for 6yrs. 4. Costa Rican History

  • Did you know that Christopher Columbus actually inspired the Sponiard Gil Gonzalez Davila to name Costa Rica the rich coast?But Mr. Davila named it Costa Rica. Did you also know that 2010 that the first female president was elected in Costa Rica?

5. Where They Live?

  • Costa Rica is also known as one of the Latin American countries. Latin America is located in central America and its part of the western hemisphere. These countries Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras,El Salvador, Guatemala, Brazil, Mexico and Cuba. Latin America lies between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. These oceans connect with the Latin American to their regions.

6. Clothing

  • Costa Rican clothing is divided into 2 categories, traditional dresses and modern fashion. Costa Rican women usuallywhere colorful skirt that have tons of colors. They also wear colorful ribbons in theirhair even some solid colors. Clothing for men are white suitsred ribbon around their waists. And last but least men wear white hats.

7. Houses

  • Costa Rica has many kind of houses like for poor people they live in small shacks. Usually people who live in shacks sometimes might have to sleep on hard floors but life in rich houses are very different they are huge has beds and so much more.

8. Traditions

  • Alot of people chose Costa Rica as a honeymoon or vacation. And even some weddings. One tradition is brides wear long silk black dresses. Then the groom were a handmade shirt. And that handmade shirt is made from hand from the wife or bride.

9. Landforms

  • One of the volcano that is located in Costa Rica is called the Poas volcano and it was last erupted in 2010.It is about 2,708 meters or 8,885 feet. The Poas erupted 39 times since 1828. one mountain that is located in Costa Rica is called Cordillra Central. It is about 11,260 feet high. AMAZING RIGHT!! And last but not least, here is the cool one. It is a famous statue called Juan Santa Maria. He was born on August 29,1831 and died on April 11,1856. He was a drum boy who worked in the army.

10. Games

  • Costa Rica owns their own soccer team. Its name is La Sele. They have won the Concacaf championship 3 times including 1963, 1969, and 1989. La Sele also won the UNCAF Nation cup 6 times.

11. Schooling

  • Kids at Costa Rica goes to school for 6 years. The age limitto start school is 5 to 6 years old in primary school. Kids go to school for about 3 hours and 30 minutes a day. And last but not least Costa Rica has literacy level of 93%.

12. Languages

  • Costa Rican people speak a lot of languages like English and a Primary language called Spanish. Costa Rica has many languages because of tourists around the world.

13. Foods

  • Costa Rican cuisine is mostly eat fish, pork chops or chicken. They also eat fried plantain and a slice of white cheese and sometimes corn Tortillas they also eat red beans and drink sweet water. Some fruits that they eat are blackberry, melons, strawberry, watermelons, mangos, and so much more. In Costa Rica, rice and beans is very popular.

14. Animals

  • Costa Rica has many animals that roam Coats Rica like sloth's, Monkeys which are very free in Costa Rica. Crabs, red eyed green tree frogs and some bats. There are also a lot of birds species.

15. Jobs

  • Some jobs that Costa Rican people have are teachers, pottery, hunting, doctors, firefighters, police, and even some factory workers. and so much more.
