What is the law in each of the following?
Murder
Assault
Causing unnecessary suffering to an animal
Using a Mobile at the wheel of a car
Plotting a Terrorist attack
So what is a LAW?
In pairs discuss and come up with a definition
A Law Is A rule which IS MADE by the government AND ENFORCED through the police and the courts
Why do we have laws? Imagination game
You are day-dreaming, staring out the window.
Mr Ari runs into the classroom. He tells you not to panic.
There is a tannoy from Ms Flannagan saying the following:
“All students should know that from this point forward there are no longer any rules governing this country,
effective immediately.
Students are reminded to remain calm.”

Stages in the making of a law
Arrange the stages
Arrange in pairs or a small group the order a bill would pass through the houses of parliament and into law.
