Dr. Crum is an artist, author,researcher, and founder of MosaicEducation Network, LLC. MosaicEducation Network is a consultingcompany that infuses the arts,diversity, and critical thinking intoprofessional development,community building and traditionaleducation so participants havehealthy ways of thinking aboutthemselves, their future and adiverse world. Dr. Crum earned herBachelors in Visual Art Studies fromthe University of Florida, her Mastersin African American and AfricanStudies and her PhD in ArtAdministration, Education andPolicy from The Ohio StateUniversity. She has conductedprofessional development training,

given presentations and facilitatedprojects across the United Statesand internationally including Ghanaand Brazil.

She continues to shape her ownprofessional development through avariety of opportunities. She workedwith The Ohio State Universityand The Royal ShakespeareCompany in the United Kingdom tolearn how to increase students'reading comprehension throughtheater-based practices.

As an Imagining AmericaFellow, she worked withartists, scholars, andcommunity organizers acrossthe country to expand therole of art and publicscholarship in highereducation. As an AlbertSchweitzer Fellow, sheworked with thirteen 8thgraders, a social studiesteacher, and numerouscommunity members tocreate the LindenDocumentary Project.Students created researchquestions and facilitatedinterviews with communityprofessionals to learn aboutthe history of theirneighborhood.

In May of 2015, Dr. Crum wasnominated to give a TEDxtalk, “A Tale of TwoTeachers.” Her focus was onan arts-based professionaldevelopment process calledmulticultural critical reflectivepractice (MCRP) which sheco-created and published.
