Children are the future of a country. They bring the development & prosperity to the country. But as we all know that the children are the most vulnerable part of the society & can be easily targeted. In India we have enacted many laws & Acts related to Children in order to protect them & to give them a better & sound development.

Preamble Commitment: Justice, liberty, equality, & fraternity are for all the citizens including children.

Right against exploitation : As per this children below 14 years of age should not be employed in any hazardous jobs.

Child Labour …………………

Preservation PUNISHMENT In october 2006 ,the

government amended the Child Labour Preservation Act and banned employing the children below 14 years in homes, restaurants or tea shops .

This is a punishable offence and anyone flouting the law should go to either prison for three years or pay a fine of Rs 10,000-20,000.
