Programme structure

Year 1 Basic foundation courses in Law &

Diplomacy subjects Designed to give students the

ability to grasp both legal and diplomatic concepts

Year 2 Advanced courses in Law &

Diplomacy Students build upon courses from

Year 1 in both Law & Diplomacy

Year 3 Specialist courses in Law &

Diplomacy Pre-requisites are courses taken in

the first 2 years Thesis has to reflect research in

both disciplines

COURSE STRUCTURE

Mandatory and elective courses

Y1 – mandatory; Y2, Y3 – mandatory + electives

Up to three courses at the same time

Can choose to follow an additional course

Each course lasts six weeks

Five class hours a week

Research work on assignments and class preparation

Exam at the end of the course

Introductory module in the first semester

ADMISSIONS

APPLY TO STUDY AT RGSL 1. Fill in an online application at apply.rgsl.edu.lv

2. Write a motivation letter in English

3. Attach your diploma or if not yet graduated, your current term grade transcript

4. General admission: grade average and grade in English at ECTS level C (Latvian grade 7)

5. Early admission: ECTS level A or B (Latvian grade 10, 9 or 8) if resident and not yet graduated, and general admission requirements for other applicants
