After reading the story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and listening to the song of the Rusty Knight, these are the different news reports that 3B pupils wrote.

We invite you to read them and learn a bit more about the Middle Age, King Arthur, Camelot, Knights and damsels in distress.

THE RUSTY KNIGHT SAVES A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS!!

The Rusty Knight on his grey mare, saved a damsel in distress. He got into the castle and went to save her; it seems that all the castle soldiers jumped into the moat, because they thought it was the ghost of the castle.

Finally, the knight and the maid got married and had twins, although the knight could not take off his armour. Unbeliavable!

GREEN KNIGHT CHALLENGES Sir GAWAIN

Strange news in CamelotOn the first of January, i.e. New Year’s Day, something odd happened in Camelot.

A green knight appeared all of the sudden, when all people in Camelot was celebrating a great party and challenged King Arthur. Sir Gawain, one of the Round Table’s Knights, tried to cut the Green Knight’s head, and he really succeeded.

However, according to some witnesses the Green Knight survived the deadly hit and his opponent had to meet him a year later. Apparently, they met in an old chapel. When the green knight was going to kill Sir Gawain, he stopped and Sir Gawain discovered the Green Knight’s real identity. He was Lord Bertilak. It seems that he wanted to test Sir Gawain and see if he was a good knight.

It is good to know that there are still honorable and worthy men !!

A BRAVE MAN CALLED SIR GAWAINCamelot is shocked.

It was just a traditional Christmas feast in Camelot when a Green Knight arrived. He told King Arthur to cut his head, provided that on New Year Day he would let him cut his head.

DAILY NEWS• A difficult test

CAMELOT, GREEN CHAPEL.

Last night in Green Chapel a difficult test took place for the knight . The last Christmas Eve he was challenged by a strange Knight, the Green Knight. On 1st of January took place this test as a result of which the Green Knight came bleeding a little but when the Green Knight was going to kil him, he stopped and Sir Gawain discovered his identity (Lord Bertilak) and the test finished. All of this, was to prove that Sir Gawain was and is a very good Knight. The test was performed by Lord Bertilak and with the help of Lady Bertilak . But, his bravery will be remembered by all the Knights in the next years, centuries and forever. Ramón Gómez Laguna.

On 1st on January a man went on a

journey to the Green Chapel for a

challenge with a green monster.

On his trip he stopped in a house where he

stayed for 3 days.

The man went to hunt and during his hunt ,

his wife stayed alone with Sir Gawain but

they didn't do anything.

After that he went to Green Chapel where

the monster was going to cut his head but

the man of the house helped him.

separating. Because the king arrived late and tipsy and his wife got annoyed. He is sleeping in his mother’s house, and his wife says that she won’t forgive him.

A man told the knight that he was too young to die and he would start the quest for him.Days later Mr Gawain started the way and he stayed in a house for some days.

The first day the owner of the house went hunting.The second day the owner of the house thanked Mr Gawain because he respected his honor with his wife, as the lady wanted to give him many pleasures.Sir Gawain arrived at the Chapel and the green knight

THE GREEN SASHNew fashion trend in Camelot.

Since Sir Gawain’s return, every knight wears a green sash. The reasons are still unclear but we’ll keep you informed At Christmas in Camelot a green knight appeared and

he proposed the king to meet to the Green Chapel on New Year’s Day the following year. If he didn't do it would behead him.

•Today Sir Gawain, arrived in the city. All the people were worried because nobody knew where the knight was this year.

•He told the reporters what happened at this time.

•The last year he accepted a dangerous challenge and Gawain lost it. The man of the challenge wanted to kill him.The next year he decided to go to the Green Knight‘s chapel and the man would kill him.

He met Lord Bertilak and he stayed in his castle some days.

They made a deal but Gawain didn't obey the lord at all.

The Green knight didn't kill him because he was Lord Bertilak and he only nicked the man. Gawain only broke his promise to save his life.

All the people are very happy

A brave man called Sir Gawain

• It was a Christmas feast in Camelot and the Green Kinght arrived. He offered a challenge to King Arthur but Sir Gawain accepted it because he wanted that the King Arthur kept his honor. The challenge consisted in cuting the Green Kinght's head but the next year he will cut the Sir Gawain's head. Sir Gawain cut the Green Knight's head. The New Year was arriving and Sir Gawain found the Lord Bertilak's castle in the way to the green chaple. He slept in the castle and the next morning a lady was in the room. He accepted one kiss from her lips. The second day the lady gave Sir Gawain two kisses. The third day the lady gave him a sash. On New Year Day he found that the Green Chaple was Lord Bertilak. Green Knight nicked Sir Gawain's neck because he had to give Lord Bertilak the sash. Everyone reminded the event and they other knights wore green sashes to remember Sir Gawain's bravery.

NEWS FROM CAMELOT!

On New Year’s day, Sir Gawain went to the Green Chapel to meet the challenge. The challenge was that the Green Knight was going to cut his head, because at Christmas when king Arthur was feasting and the Green knight appeared he was the one who accepted the challenge and cut the Green knight's head.

But when Sir Gawain arrived at the Green Chapel, the Green Knight didn't kill him. So now he's alive!!

At Christmas day the green knight challenged Sir Gawain.

Sir Gawain cut the Green Knight’s head but this did not kill him, in fact the head continued speaking and said that he would have to go to the Green chapel, in a year’s time, the year came quickly and he went in search of the chapel. On the way he asked for lodge.

There Lord Bertilak made a deal with him and he accepted it. Sir Gawain had to tell him all he did during the day but one day he wasn't sincere.

The day that he went to the Green chapel he wasn't behead because he wore a magic sash. But who gave him this magic sash? We’ll keep you informed.

SIR GAWAIN, A WORTHY KNIGHTOn Christmas days, Sir Gawain accepted a

challenge from Green Knight. The challenge consisted in cutting the Green Knight's head, but on New Year’s day, Green Knight must behead Sir Gawain. When New Year day was arriving Sir Gawain started to walk to the Green Chapel.

On his way, he found a castle and he stayed there some days. He reached an agreement with the king of the castle, called Lord Bertilak.”Whatever the Lord catches, he must give it to Sir Gawain, and whatever Sir Gawain gets, he must give to the king. The third day Lady Bertilak gave Sir Gawain a sash, but he kept the secret

On New Year's day Sir Gawain went to the Green Chapel. There the Green Knight(who really was Lord Bertilak) didn't behead Sir Gawain, because he proved that he was a worthy knight by going to the Green Chapel and he just gave Sir Gawain a nick because he had hidden the sash from him(Lord Bertilak).

After that adventure Sir Gawain arrived at Camelot always wearing the green sash to remember humility, and also the other knights wore green sashes to remember Sir Gawain's bravery.

That is a worthy man because in spite of what people told him he continued his way.

During his trip, Sir Gawain stopped in a house, where he was nice with the family who lived there, so the man helped Sir Gawain in his quest.

Yesterday, Sir Gawain, the famous knight, arrived at Camelot castle. All the people were waiting for him. Nobody knew where he was. And King Arthur got really happy and offered him a new mission, this time against the Blue Knight. However, he did not agree and he talked to our reporter about his last adventure against the Green Knight.

HARD KNIGHT After a year, the mystery of the Green Knight has been solved.

• One year ago, the news about the headless Green Knight riding a green horse surprised England. But now, many people are disappointed; the Green Knight was an influential nobleman, Lord Bertilak, who was dressed up so as to test Sir Gawain, a round table's knight. Other people are more surprised because of it. According to the testimony of Sir Gawain “Lord Bertilak wanted to prove my courage and, after the sorrows, I'm happy to undergo my personal test” On the other hand, Lord Bertilak has closed the doors of his castle, he doesn't want to answer any questions. Sir Gawain, our knight returned to Camelot. Thanks to the magic sash that Lord Bertilak’s wife gave him, he succeeded.

Last Christmas we got the terrible news about the Green Knight and how he entered the castle and challenged King Arthur and all his knights.

It was Sir Gawain who took on the challenge.

We have been informed that after a year’s wait and many adventures, the young Sir Gawain reached the Green Chapel and met the Green Knight there as he had promised a year before.

On the way, Sir Gawain met a new friend, Lor bertilak, who was very kind to him and invited him to stay in his castle. He made a deal with him: he would have to tell him all that he had received during the day.

A strange victory

And here it is where the problems started because one day he wasn’t sincere

On the day he had to go to the chapel and be beheaded there by the Green Knight, Lord Bertilak appeared in the middle of the scene and said that he and his wife had been testing him and that he knew all about the sash. Sir Gawain got surprised!

Today, in Camelot, we have been informed that every knight will wear a green sash as a symbol of Gawain’s victory and humility.
