• There are entire theaters libraries, and periodical publications dedicated to him and those who write about him

• There is hardly a person who speaks the English language who has not heard of William Shakespeare

• This is largely because Shakespeare wrote primarily of a theme we can all relate to…Love.
• Love is the driving force and catalyst in nearly all of Shakespeare’s work, particularly his tragedies.

• His poetry is still recited by young lovers the world over.• Even Shakespeares comedies and the darker tales such as Lucrece are driven by a
perception of love in the main character.

• Because of Shakespeare’s ability to express and, yes, even to inspire love, his work remains relevant to this day and there is not a student of English or Literature who has not consulted the great William Shakespeare.
• His work continues to inspire not just actors and poets, but writers of all kinds, musicians, and artists.
