YES. Team Learning Units comply with traditional curriculum requirements in the area of business and entrepreneurship. The main difference relies in the focus. In TLU the focus is more on the learning processes (and soft skills) rather than in content acquisition. Content is a tool to put team learning
abilities into practise and reach goals in the real business world (be sustainable, satisfy the customers, innovate, etc).
Is there a formal curriculum?

The subjects are learnt in a cross discipline and holistic way. There is no such concept as subject, meaning disconnected silos of information. Team learners work in real projects and thus experience the need (and motivation) to learn tools as marketing, accountancy, etc. Real problems trigger their demand for knowledge so, ultimately, Team Learners end up covering the main topics “on demand”. Each time the need appears, they are assisted by their coach to find the state of the art theories and practises that will help them with their challenge.
But there are no teachers and the focus is not in content! So, how do you work with the typical subjects?

And what about assessment?
In TLUs there are no exams in the traditional way. There is a permanent 360º evaluation process. The team, the customers, the coach and the individual reflect about
what was learnt and what needs to be improved.
But that requires very responsible students!!!!
Exactly! Team Learners learn to be responsable of their own learning process, as well as their contributions to the
team.

Team Learners have different goals and objectives both, at long and short term. These goals are milestones that help them evaluate their own progress and depend on the stage where the team learner is. As a framework, every team learner has to keep a personal learning diary and reflect about their own work and contribution to the team. In addition to that, there are quantitative goals to reach such as number of books read (and theory applied), customer visits, personal revenue, team revenue, number of projects, etc. With the coach´s assistance, each team company sets their own goals and reviews them periodically.

We believe being an Entrepreneur is a life style. It goes beyond work or business environments. It means having a project and working (personal and socially) to make it happen. !We know about the challenges that entrepreneurs face: we offer coaching sessions to help them go through stressful moments. We support them in their growth at different levels: as an external observer and as concrete doers. !We deliver programmes for entrepreneurs (in a broad sense) who are interested in acquiring innovative tools and techniques through learning by doing.
