Kennesaw State University was established by the University System of Georgia in 1963 and its mission includes education, research and service. KSU is the third largest university in the University System of Georgia with over 23,400 students enrolled in its 70 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs within its eight academic colleges.

The 4,600-seat KSU Convocation Center opened in 2005 is hometo the Owls basketball and volleyball teams as well as the athletic department’s administrative offices.
The Convocation Center features a hospitality and pressroom for media and the President’s Room located on the third flooris used to host hospitality events on game nights.

Currently, over 3000 students live on campus in KSU’s four apartment communities.
KSU Place, University Place, and University Village are apartment-style, fully furnished units with full kitchens. University Village Suites, which opened in Fall 2008, houses 913 freshmen students in suite-style accommodations.

Offering nine different food venues including made-to-order specialty sandwiches, build-your-own salads, and international and regional cuisines that offer student recommended recipes, The Commons sets a new standard for campus dining.

The Library will build out its current technology spaces into an undergraduate Information Commons allowing students and faculty more opportunities to engage in content creation.

The Silver LEED Certified Health Sciences Building offers an additional 200,000 sq. ft. of classroom, laboratory and office space to promote cross campus and departmental collaboration.
The expanded facility Allows the university to increase the number of nursing graduates from about 185 a year to approximately 250.

KSU’s Bagwell College of Education offers an array of teacher education programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, education specialist and doctoral levels.
BCOE places strong emphasis on preparing teachers in high needareas such as special education, English as a Second Language and “STEM” disciplines.

KSU’s College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) has reached full capacity for instructional and research laboratory space in the biological and chemical science degree programs.
The new science lab will be a four-story, 52,000 sq. ft. structure housing 14 teaching labs, 12 student labs along with other instructional and administrative office spaces.
College of Humanities & Social Sciences
