DESCRIPTION
Plioreocepta, a new replacement name for Platyparea sensu Hendel 1927, is proposed. Its taxonomic position is discussed bsed on detailed studies of previously uknown male and female genitalia and comparison with other "odd genera" (Platyparea Loew, Nitrariomyia Rohdendorf, Malica Richter, Xarnuta Walker). A monotypic tribe Plioreoceptini is proposed.
