Knowledge Approaches : Social Webhttp://hazmanaziz.com | http://gen-me.org

Social Web is on the Hype (at its peek) ...“ ... In fact, say analysts at Gartner Research, all revenue-generating channels should be operating in a Web 2.0 architecture by 2008.

Gartner VP and Fellow Kenneth McGee puts the onus for this change on enterprise architects, and believes that now is the time to begin embracing Web 2.0, because an organization's ability to understand and adopt Web 2.0 technologies and models are fast becoming a competitive differentiator, and those technologies and models are well on their way to the business mainstream.”

Is Facebook Worth the Hype? In 2007, ….

"Facebook IS the internet portal of 2007." - Jeff Pulver

"Facebook could easily become the Microsoft Windows of tomorrow." - Duncan Riley

"No matter how you look at it Facebook is the one. Right now." - Robert Scoble"Facebook will reach 50 million, then 100 million, then 200 million users, and beyond." - Paul Allen (who also compares Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to Alexander the Great)

"Last time an inward looking ecosystem caught the imagination of developers, it was Windows 95, the defining moment for Microsoft. The winner of that movement: Microsoft." - Om Malik on the Facebook platform

"There's a chance that someday, Facebook will be the preferred place to read this blog because of all the social apps that will be built around it." - Fred Wilson

• We need what is knowledge management …Knowledge Management (KM) comprises a range of practices used in an organisation to identify, create, represent, distribute and enable adoption of insights and experiences.

• Follow by Knowledge Engineering …Knowledge Engineering (KE) has been defined by Edward Feigenbaum, and Pamela McCorduck (1983) as follows: "KE is an engineering discipline that involves integrating knowledge into computer systems in order to solve complex problems normally requiring a high level of human expertise."

• And lastly, Knowledge Acquisition .. a nice job of giving some context to where “Knowledge Acquisition (KA)" has come from, particularly in reference to expert systems and attempts to accurately embody the knowledge of experts.

What can I do with this knowledgehttp://hazmanaziz.com | http://gen-me.org

With Knowledge Acquisition, next …http://hazmanaziz.com | http://gen-me.org

Christian Wagner's Document Library - Breaking the Knowledge Acquisition Bottleneck Through Conversational Knowledge Management from Information Resources Management Journal 1Q 2006 edition.“Wagner then looks to the open source software movement for inspiration around other means for knowledge acquisition, and from there suggests that making conversations and interactions available electronically are a way to get around some of the traditional issues with knowledge acquisition.

This draws on the idea that communities of similarly interested people can work together to develop and expand a body of knowledge, either toward a specific end (a project) or for a longer term need (a scientific community).”
