In this video, there is a lot of sexual tension and references between Justin Bieber and the girl. Also, it is quite an upbeat song which relates to the music as it is a fast paced video.

Justin Bieber is topless at times, which most (female) viewers may find attractive. He is dressed simple but stylish and because he is an established singer, people will find him entertaining to watch. Furthermore, the video shows Justin being a ‘hero’ which ideally sells himself as a heroic figure. Close-ups are used to show very sexual bits such as taking clothes off and shots of different parts of their bodies.

IS THERE ANY REFERENCES TO ‘LOOKING’? ARE FEMALES PRESENTED VOYEURISTICALLY?Justin often looks into the camera intensely, as he sits on the edge of the bed, to create an intimate bond between him and the viewers. The female in the video is presented voyeuristically because she is half naked at the beginning of the video, until they are kidnapped, and she is very pretty with a slim figure. Additionally, she used as a victim to make Justin Bieber look like the heroic person so she is impressed.

IS THERE A NARRATIVE? HOW IS THE VIDEO ORGANISED AND STRUCTURED?There is a narrative in the music video. So, Justin Bieber pays his friend to get a group to pretend to kidnap him and the girl. The girl is terrified so Justin has to protect her. As they are tied up, Justin uses the lighter the man gave him to help them escape and they jump off the building together. After that, it is Justin and his friends skateboarding – his hobby. It is structured in a way that has a beginning, middle and an end.
