INTRODUCTION
The country of Iran is
situated on the continent
of Asia. The capital city is
Tehran. The national
language is Persian, or
Farsi.
GEOGRAPHY
Iran is surrounded by 8 countries. The bodies
of water around Iran are the Caspian Sea in
the north and the Arabian Sea in the south.
In the middle and east you can find deserts.
In the north and west there are mountains. In
the north there are green lowlands with rich
soil.
Iran faces natural hazards such as floods,
dust storms, sandstorms and earthquakes.
HISTORY
Earliest people in Iran were
hunters, farmers, and traders. Iraq
invaded Iran in 1980, and that was
when the Iran-Iraq war began. It
ended in 1988. During the war

CULTURERevolution Day in Iran is on February eleventh.
Republic Day is on April first. Ashura lasts for 10
days. Random is holy month for Muslims. People in
Iran do healthy diets they enjoy lots of fresh
vegetables and fruits. They eat lamb and beef they
do not eat pig or ham forbids it.
ECONOMY
Iran makes a lot of money selling oil. It
has rich oil fields in the south west. The
money in Iran is called the Rial. Iran is
famous for its Persian carpets. Many
people from Iran make tradition carpets,
it is an important export. Iran has
exported the spice saffron for a long time.
Iran produces one of the best dates in the
world.
CLIMATE
The climate in Iran is mostly either
semi-arid or arid. Iran has contrasting
climates. In the western mountain the
summer is dry and hot. The winter in
Iran is freezing cold. Iran suffers from
floods, dust storms, and earthquakes.
