Urethane Bowling Balls
• Designed for much hook.• Drags across lane providing less friction and
more speed.
Resin Bowling Balls
• Does not drag across lane because of increased friction so it travels slower. Much friction on surface and lane which creates most hook.
Particle Bowling Balls
• A resin ball with glass pieces added to create more grit, to help it grip to the lane.
• Most PBA bowlers prefer a particle ball because hook is easiest to control.
Polyester Bowling Balls
• The most common type of bowling and the cheapest to manufacture. Polyester is plastic.
• They last the longest.• Polyester bowling balls are hardest to control.

• Anything heavier consists of a metal core.
How Are They Made
