Emphasis on this objective about how far England is from the colonies, giving the

Colonies home field advantage and how help from other European nations ( France)

was also essential to the Patriot cause.

Objective 2 Given a list of events from the time period of 1757 to 1776 students

Activities: Students will line up in groups of five according to their birthdays In ascending order.

Utilizing Flash cards student will be given cards with events that take place during the

school year ( Christmas break, Thanksgiving, winter recess , First day of Spring, etc) with no dates and students will arrange the cards in the correct chronological order to the best of their ability working in groups.

Assessment: Project work Two timelines poster board( Personal and Historical) Project work utilizing the given rubric.

Emphasis on this objective is to show how the events that led to the American revolution gave the colonist Reasons to believe in the cause they were fighting for promoting Patriotism

Assessment: Students will write an essay and express which side has the advantage at the onset of the war and give at least 3 reasons explaining why that side has the advantage.

Emphasis on this objective is to show how the events that led to the American revolution gave the colonist Reasons to believe in the cause they were fighting for promoting Patriotism and how help from the French was essential in the Patriot cause.

Assesment: Students are given three days to create a poster board display board with illustrations and information and create an attractive poster board display of the beginning, turning point and deciding points (all three battles ) of the American revolution.

Emphasis on this objective is how leadership was evident in the American Revolution. Battles are not won without proper leadership and how the turning point battle gave the ameriacans crucial Foreign help.

ReflectionChallenges:

Focusing on the perspective outside of the content. The Teacher in me wants to instruct and is very content-centric.

Diversity with each objective Coming up with individual activities was easy.
