Joe Tacopina: Fordham Law School Continues Its Traditions
Moving into the Future
Joe Tacopina is a New York City attorney with a history of success representing clients in difficult criminal, civil, and securities cases.

celebrities, athletes and police officers, whether accused of misdemeanors or
felonies.
The number of law schools throughout the United States makes choosing a good fit
difficult. Fordham University, located in New York, New York, is committed to academic
excellence and has one of the most selective student bodies in the country. Among the
school’s specialties, Fordham has nationally recognized programs in dispute resolution,
intellectual property, and clinical legal education. The school’s commitment to public service is demonstrated by its graduates, who
served almost 190,000 hours in 2012.
Founded as St. John’s College in 1841, the university’s law school began in 1905. The alumni association began a few years later and has developed a reputation for its loyal
support of the law school.
Tacopina is also recoginzed for his contribution to Yale University. He volunteers
annually at their Mock Trial Association.
