The answers here are just my recal ls base with my interview with Mr. Tim Laws. Words have been changed for project purposes .

Q: How important it is to have a family solidarity within our society?

A: It is important because it will affect everyone of us especially the children. It will affect also the progress of the Philippines.

Q: How many percent of Filipino families do you think is still giving an importance of having a family solidarity?A: It ’s not really gone because many Filipinos still give importance to it. But the problem is it fades.

So it’s still within them but fading.

Q: What do you think is the reason why most of the Filipinos support in passing bills like RH Bill and Divorce Bill?

A: Modernization is one reason. They think that it is popular on other countries that is

why they also want it to be

implemented here in the Philippines.

Q: How important it is to have a broad understanding about these proposed bills that might affect family values of Filipinos?

A: It is very important because these bills has a big consequences if it is implemented here. As you see, within the 20 years of the introduction of contraception in the U.S., the divorce rate reached nearly 250% of what it had been at that time. So it will likely to happen here if the government implemented it .

Q: Many organizations used protests as a means of expressing their advocacy, in your opinion how effective it is in giving information to the Filipinos?

A: We also join rallies but it ’s not that really effective you know because people think that we advocate the same things so no one really don’t want to listen to those things, that’s why its not really that effective.

Q: Aside from newsletters and T.V shows, what other programs or activities you’ve been planning to execute in order to have a widespread information for Filipinos

A: Maybe fairly influential. We

can somehow affect the

legislators decisions but just

a little.

Q: Being a chairman of ALFI, what do you think is the key in restoring the values or culture of having a family solidarity?A: That’s a hard one. But I think we just need to give Importance to what we think is right and what will be the cause of these bills to everyone of us.

Q: If you will given a chance to implement a law, what will be the focus of that law?

A: Well it will be a law that is anchored with the natural planning.

Q: What help do you think does a future Values Educator can do in order to have a widespread information about the importance of family solidarity in our society?

A: Just teach the children the

importance of family and life, and explain

the concept of morality in order to

have a better understanding of

what will be the effect of these bills.
