Gr.2 Science - Earth and space

Gr.2 Science - Earth and space

Learn about the Earth’s role through a video or podcast by Bill Nye, Neil De

Grasse Tyson, Brain Pop etc.

Using Minecraft, Sketch Up, etc. students will design a digital model of a new solar system that can also

support life. They need to explain how everything in their solar system fits together and interacts with one another.

Students contact an astrophysicist to ask them questions about the Earth’s place in

the solar system through ie. Skype.

Tellagami app - students use to do a presentation of their factual understanding of their planet.

Gr.9 - Literature of Sherlock Holmes

Read free ebooks on iPads. Highlight text to show how the text is interpreted and

reinterpreted.

Instead of final essay, make a game to reflect and transmit their understanding. The game should be interactive and make meaning for somebody else.

Create their own narrative and create a comic strip to show analysis of a story of a feeling interesting

and powerful clear argument of a logic.

Make a Wordle to tell the body of writing and short stories. Map the argument of reasoning. Instead of

just describing characters of story, now link the relationship of characters in a mind map.
