A brief history & overview of

1998 The first ISTE Standards (NETS) framework released

ISTE Standards –formally NETS - Educational Technology Standards

ISTE = International Society of Technology Education

2007 Second framework of students NETS framework released

Circa 1996 NETS project initiated by ISTE’s Accreditation & Professional Standards Committee.

NETS/S/T/A/C/CS frameworks are continually released, updated

ISTE frameworks are continually updated based on international collaboration, community polling, input, and feedback selection
