Introduction
I believe this institution is perfect for my Vintage magazine as it is now a subsidiary of Times Inc.
IPC Media, publisher of magazines including Marie Claire, NME and What’s on TV, is to be rebranded by its US-based owner to Time Inc UK.

Their variety and range is excellent .However, they do not have a Vintage music magazine that targets a younger teen audience. This is a gap in the market that may interest them.

I also like this company as they have an excellent range of cross media. Their website is exciting and their use of digital technology exactly what my audience needs.
IPCs Magazines
The only music magazines they have are NME and Uncut which are both very masculine so I hope that the female appeal of my magazine will entice them to want to publish and distribute it. I like the way they have lifestyle magazines as I believe that female readers like to see links between music and fashion.
Theorists
Steve Neale said that genre is about ‘repetition and difference’ I want to use conventions to anchor the genre of my magazine but I also want to break some in order to develop the TA. I really believe adding fashion and make up etc to the magazine will do this.
Times Inc have global offices so my magazine could target regional, national and global markets. It is also possible to subscribe which I could add in on my contents page.
