Syncing to your Computer

Syncing/backup your data to your computer is used only if their is something really wrong with device or you just want to update the software. You can update your device, backup, restore, and you can save you backup to your computer.

Syncing to icloud

To sync to icloud on your ipad go to settings, Icloud, Storage & Backup make sure it is green. If you press backup now this will back all the things on your ipad currently. This is done often by the ipad by itself.
