Refraction of light and Critical angle

Preparation

In general, light travels in a straight line through the air at a speed of 300,000 kilometers per second. However, when light travels through a medium of varying density, the speed of light then changes. For example, the speed of light in the water will be less than the speed of light in the air because water has more density than air.
