What are the characteristics of the audience for this genre?

The characteristics of the audience for the thriller genre tend to consist of risk takers and people who enjoy thrill or suspense. The age range for people to watch thrillers tends to be over the age of 12 however it is more seen to be adults. I know this because thriller films tend to have lots of violence in them. The main gender for thriller films would be male as the male generation are more into violence. The social class for thriller films would be middle to lower as upper class people may tend to be more into drama’s.
