DESCRIPTION
There is a must to identify and placed the space within a global context. An environment where the Educational Community can exchange experiences, needs, knowledge and project and invent the future. An space to identify, analyze and experiment trends in education, implementing scenarios within a "Continues Innovation Methodology". Technology has changed the way we communicate, shop, socialize, as well as how we learn and teach. To capture the attention of today’s little digital munchkins, schools need to integrate the technology they are growing up with and using daily into the classrooms. Mobile devices can make incredibly engaging and collaborative learning tools in the classroom and the materials can be more interactive and easily updated and customized to each student’s needs. Classroom technology trends change as rapidly as the technology itself. Some arise and burn out quickly, while others linger for years to come. In this “new environment” we can help organizations to integrate more digital technology than ever with innovative solutions.

Imagine for a moment a Journey to the Future and the “Time Machine stops in 2020”… I see an “Education Technology Center” forecasting innovative services and solutions on new technologies based on continuous tracking and trend analysis of global Edu-technological developments. Put into the context of education and information and communication technologies roadmaps and enriched with visions and trends of technology leaders and business innovators. The Edu-Tech Center will provide support in the definition and assessment of future digital education scenarios and subsequent innovation path. With selected partners, further development and technology implementation can be provided.

2. The amazing world of Smart Interactive Digital Textbooks. SidEx ©
Digital textbooks have increasingly become more popular with again, the increasing surge of mobile technology in the classroom. Digital textbooks offer a cheaper, more environmentally friendly, and more portable alternative to the often hefty print textbook. E-textbooks just make sense, but in the past the biggest challenge in providing them to students is the availability and accessibility mobile devices. As more classrooms integrate devices like tablets in the classroom, which is the trend in 2014, we will see more schools going digital. According to a recent survey by Enterasys Secure Networks, 37 percent of K-12 teachers say they plan to transition to only digital textbooks within the next one to five years.

4. The inspiring world of Holography at School
Holography was officially born in 1947 thanks to the Hungarian Dennis Gabor, who was awarded the Nobel prize for this achievement, as well as developing various other applications since then.
It is a technique for forming three-dimensional images from a support level that can be visualized without the need of additional accessories, where the observer can move around it while viewing it from different perspectives.
Initiated at the Higher Centre for Scientific Research (CSIC), ITMA Materials Technology is exploiting the advances achieved in this field.
The developed holographic applications can be directed towards the archaeological exhibition of pieces of great realism for museums, as well as military applications.

4. The inspiring world of Holography at School
Digital holography allows you to perform a 3D image away from an entirely dark environment, achieving true colour holograms, and with a slight movement of images or characters. With this type of technique you can achieve sizes of up to 1 x 1.5 meters.
The field of applications is as follows:
Portraits.
3D Museum pieces.
Landscapes.
Digital holograph creation and examples

5. Printing at school in 3D
3D printing is a complex emerging technology inaccessible to most children and adults in 2013, but 2014 might just be the year for them in the classroom. There is a lot of buzz about this incredible printer that can make 3 dimensional solid objects. They will make fabulous learning tools for the classroom, allowing educators and students to create whatever they image and design from 3D topographical maps to parts for a robot. According to an article by CNet “MakerBot wants to put a 3D printer in every school in the United States, and it's drumming up support from the industry and general public to make it happen.” Eighteen teachers from different schools around the county came together to learn how to build 3D printers for the classroom. They make incredible learning tools with endless possibilities as to what they can create!

6. Exhibition and gaming technologies
The use of touchscreens generates in the users an experience whereby it combines reality with virtually creating in this way a feeling that fully submerges you into the interactive content that is being manipulated. Touchscreen technologies are in full swing and the possibilities they offer today range from an simple informative touchpad manipulated by a user in a shopping mall, to a large format screen, which simultaneously interacts with multiple users in an international exhibition.
Numerous possibilities for coupling screens to a support allow you to play with the elegance of the end product. So that you could opt for example to have a vertically oriented screen fixed to a wall appropriately painted for the occasion, as you might have a table carved in wood in the center of the room for public interaction, and all of this with a wide variety of multimedia content, such as photos, videos, and special effects with movement.

6. Exhibition and gaming technologies
Interactive applications can be focused on education, gamification, information, exhibition, etc. Some of the work realized by Spanish ITMA are applications for multinational companies, events or presentations of great relevance, or 3D representations of archaeological pieces for museums.

9. The Internet of Things
The NMC Horizon Project team describes the Internet of Things as "network-aware smart objects that connect the physical world with the world of information." The four characteristics of a smart object are its small size, a unique identifier, a small data store and on-demand communication to external.
It is great being introduced to science and technology at a young age. Do you remember that moment you used a computer for the very first time, or the first time you played Tetris or Snake? How fascinating was that?
The world we live in is immensely dependent on technology and that means we require a more technically skilled workforce to produce and maintain the required technology.
Imagine if we could give school children cheap computers to play with, learn how to code, and hack some cool hardware projects. Teach them computer science and technology early on in their academic lives.

11. Tablets Community Lab
Main tablets providers will continue to be a hot commodity in 2014 outside of and inside of the classroom. Tablets are such popular learning tools right now and seems to be the most sought after in education. In fact, Apple announced that its share of the education tablet market reached 94% at the end of its last quarter. In 2013 we saw schools and even school districts large and small bringing tablets in the classroom. By the end of this year Los Angeles School district plans to put an iPad in the hands of every student, that’s 640,000 Apple tablets! The personalized learning and terrific range of learning apps makes tablets still hot in 2014.
2014/15 is going to be an exciting year in education technology. All of these trends require a well-designed and implemented plan, with proper professional development and a robust enough school wireless network to support all this technology.
