What kind of media institutions might distribute your media product and why?

I think music magazines such as NME and Rollingstones would be most likely to distribute my magazine due to the genera of music I have chosen to focus on. Also they are both aimed at the same age range as I have aimed my magazine at and contain similar contents. The colour scheme used is also similar but my magazine has a black background witch is unusual for magazines like NME and rollingstones as they particularly have white backgrounds but I wanted to create a sense of difference in my magazine and the colour also relates back to the genera. Also the layout and font style of my magazine is reflective of the other rock/indie magazines out there today. The fact I wrote something under my title is like NME magazine and so I think they would be most likely to distribute my magazine as mine than there magazine is very compatible. NME music magazine stands for new music express and it started out in 1952 and was the first British paper to include a singles chart. The internet version of NME magazine was launched in 1996 and was worlds biggest stand alone music sight. NME is run by a company called IPC Media the company was founded in 1958 in London. IPC formally means International Publishing Corporation is a consumer magazine and digital publisher in the United Kingdom, with a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year. Rolling stone magazine is a US bases magazine it is publishes every 2 weeks unlike NME which is publishes ever week. Rolling Stone was founded in San Francisco in 1967 by Jann Wenner, who is still editor and publisher, and music critic. Rolling Stone magazine changed its format in the 1990s to appeal to younger readers often focusing on young television or film actors and pop music. This led to criticism that the magazine was emphasizing style over substance. In recent years, the magazine has resumed its traditional mix of content, including in-depth political stories, and has seen its circulation increase. It is owned by a company called Wenner media owned by Jann Wenner. Wenna media also owner of Men's Journal and Us Weekly magazines.
