Informational Checklist I taught readers information about a topic, using ideas, observations, and questions. I wrote a beginning. I got my readers ready to learn a lot of information about the topic. I used words to show sequence like before, after, then, later. I also used words to show what didn’t fit like however and but. I wrote an ending that draws conclusions, asks questions, or suggests ways readers might respond. I grouped my information into parts. Each part is mostly about one thing that connects to my big topic. I wrote facts, definitions, details and observations about my topic and explained them. I chose expert words to teach readers a lot about the topic. I taught information in a way to interest readers. I may have used drawings, captions or diagrams.
