January 2012: A regional expert consultation meeting was held in Cairo, Egypt for the establishment of COFO-WANA and attended by 19 representatives of farmers unions and associations from the countries ofrepresentatives of farmers unions and associations from the countries of the region: FAO, AARINENA and GFAR are co-founder and cosponsored of Consortium of Farmers Organizations for Agriculture Research for Development in West Asia-North Africa Region.
