Ampliación: Legado Hans Goedicke en el CSIC

La biblioteca Tomás Navarro Tomás del CCHS (CSIC) ha puesto al servicio de los investigadores, la colección especializada en egiptología más importante del país. Se trata del legado Hans Goedicke, adquirido por el CSIC en 2011.

Es una colección formada por de más de 5000 monografías, casi medio centenar de revistas especializadas, más de 500 separatas y una pequeña colección de notas de trabajo, postales y fotografías entresacadas del fondo bibliográfico. Todo ello hasta mayo de 2011 formaba la biblioteca personal del egiptólogo Hans Goedicke. La colección procedente de su casa en Baltimore (EEUU) e Imbach (Austria) ahora se puede consultar en la biblioteca Tomás Navarro Tomas del CCHS (CSIC), en la ciudad de Madrid y está accesible desde el catálogo colectivo de la Red de bibliotecas del CSIC.

Erweiterung: Legat Hans Goedicke im CSIC

Die Bibliothek Tomás Navarro Tomás des CCHS (CSIC) hat den Forschern die wichtigste ägyptologische Fachsammlung des Landes zur verfügung gestellt. Es ist das Legat Hans Goedicke, das vom CSIC im Jahr 2011 erworben wurde.

Es ist eine Sammlung aus mehr als 5000 Monographien, fast fünfzig Fachzeitschriften, über 500 Sonderdrucken und eine kleine Sammlung von Arbeitsnotizen, Postkarten und Fotografien, die aus dem Fundus ausgewählt wurden. All dies bildete bis Mai 2011 die persönliche Bibliothek des Ägyptologen Hans Goedicke. Die Sammlung, die von seinem Heim in Baltimore (USA) und in Imbach (Österreich) kommt, steht jetzt in der Bibliothek Tomás Navarro Tomás CCHS (CSIC) zur Verfügung, in der Stadt Madrid, und sie ist über den Sammlungskatalog des Bibliotheksnetzes der CSIC zugänglich.

Sommer in Wien — Goedickes Mutter lebte in der Wohnung in der Ungargasse.

Jeden Sommer kam Hans Goedicke nach Wien. Er suchte immer das Institut für Ägyptologie auf.

Wenn ich im Seminar-Raum saß und an meiner Diss bastelte, schaute er mir ungeniert über die Schulter und fragte kritisch: „Was machen S‘ denn da?“

Ohne diese allsommerlichen Ratschläge hätte ich (als Werkstudent) die Diss nie fertig gebracht ...

Nach dem Tod der Mutter gab Goedicke die Wiener Wohnung auf. Er suchte und fand sein Idealhaus in Imbach, einem 500 Einwohner zählenden Ortteil von Senftenberg: ein wohl 400 Jahre altes Haus im Ortskern, gleich um die Ecke von der wunderbaren gotischen Kirche.

In seinem akademischen Leben hat Hans Goedicke sich unermüdlich um Studenten und junge Kollegen angenommen; ganz besonders, wenn sie aus schwierigen Situationen kamen (z.B. aus „Ost-Staaten“). Er hat in Österreich eine Stiftung für postgraduates eingerichtet, die aber aller Welt offen steht. Er hat einer spanischen wissenschaftlichen Institution seine gesamte Bibliothek vermacht. Das alles mit Gepolter und rauhen Scherzen.

Und er war immer für Spaß und ein Glas Wein zu haben.
