Impractical trailers:MARVEL: THE AVENGERS AND THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

Impracticalities:

This trailer consists of many impracticalities and factors which would not suit or fit the type of genre that I wish to create with my team.

The genre of the film is an action and sci-fi and this straight away highlights a problem with comparing the trailer we would like to create with this. It has a lot of CGI which is impractical for us due to the time limit and the resources and everything needed to create such a trailer.

This is a high budget money film so the trailer quality is high. It consists of the content being precise and every scene is in perfect timing. There is little speech but a lot of action which summarises the words. This is something that is impractical as for something like a romance and comedy trailer, speech needs to run throughout aswell as the voice over.

Impracticalities:

Another impracticality of the Marvel film is that the shots that are taken for the trailer a super fast. There is little story to tell and when there is a slow part within the trailer, it is something key to the film anyway. However in a romantic or comedy trailer, this would contrast because there would be so many shots of there being speech and conversation flow. An example of this is the Princess Diaries trailer which is constantly just conversation to create the audience interest. This makes this film impractical.

Impracticalities:

The Fault In Our Stars is a blockbuster romantic which can be considered as impractical when creating our trailer for a number of reasons. The trailer is made up mainly speech like the trailer we aim to create but the structure and the way that the trailer has been created makes it impractical.

TFIOS is a slow trailer with most parts of it sequential scenes from the film. This is impractical because when creating a romantic comedy, it is usually expected to be all over the place however still making sense.

It is also an impractical trailer because of the sensitivity of the themes which are within the trailer. This is something that will not run throughout our trailer due to the nature of the one we would like to create.

The camera used for this trailer is also much more better and higher quality and so this makes it impractical because it will not be such good quality with sound or lightning with the trailer we shall be creating.
