the advice of imam al-husayn

(a.s.) to the sinner

A man came to Imam al-usayn (a.s.) Ḥand said,

“I frequently disobey Allah

(s.w.t.) and cannot prevent

myself from sins. Please give me some advice to help me keep

away from sins.”

Imam al- usayn (a.s.) said, Ḥ“1. Do not eat from the provisions of

Allah2. Leave the earth of Allah

3. Find a place where Allah (s.w.t.) cannot see you

4. When the angel of death comes, keep him away from you

5. Do not enter Hell when Allah (s.w.t.) sends you into it.”

The man replied, “O Imam, I cannot do any of these five things.”

Imam al- usayn (a.s.) said, Ḥ“Then you must stop sinning.”

The man replied, “O son of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.), “I will try and change myself from today and do only that which Allah (s.w.t.) likes.”
