Founder, President, and Professor of Leadership Studies of ILGE John P. Keenan, Ph.D., is President and Founder of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE), as well as Professor of Leadership Studies and Dean of the Global Executive (GEMBA) Program . ILGE is an international, interdisciplinary-based, and non-denominational institution of post-graduate-level higher education focused on transforming mind-sets and organizations to 21st century peak performance levels. John brings to his position over 30 years of experience and is internationally recognized as an organizational psychologist and as a leader in the design and development of leadership and management educational programs. Founder, President, and Professor of Leadership Studies of ILGE

John P. Keenan, Ph.D., is President and Founder of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE), as well as Professor of Leadership Studies and Dean of the

Global Executive (GEMBA) Program . ILGE is an international, interdisciplinary-based,

and non-denominational institution of post-graduate-level higher education focused on

transforming mind-sets and organizations to 21st century peak performance levels. John

brings to his position over 30 years of experience and is internationally recognized as an

Facilitator's Guidebook", "Whistleblowing: Managing Dissent in the Workplace", “Whistleblowing Research:

Methodological and Moral Issues” and "Cognitive Maps of Violence". He has published more than sixty articles

in major journals such as "The Journal of Business Ethics", "Journal of Social Behavior and Personality", The

International Journal of Values-Based Management’, “The Journal of Business and Psychology”, “Employee

Responsibilities and Rights Journal”, "Management Accounting", and “Futures Research Quarterly”. He has

presented more than fifty research papers on such subjects as performance enhancement, team building, leadership,

work stress, identity as a manager, management ethics, whistle-blowing, and terrorism. He is a favorite with

audiences throughout the world because of his special skill of being able to translate new concepts and unique

insights into practical learning experiences.

Program faculty

Tony Bendell, BSc (Econ), MSc, PhD, FIQA, FSS, CStat, FSaRS, FRSA is a Senior

Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE) as well as a

world renowned authority on the subject of organisational excellence and process

improvement, authoritative conference speaker and consultant at the highest levels;

recently retired as one of the UK’s three Professors of Quality Management. He founded

Services Ltd. as a Quality consultancy and training organisation in 1983 and remains its

Managing Director. He has recently retired as the Rolls- Royce sponsored Professor of

Quality and Reliability Management and Director of the Centre of Quality Excellence at the

University of Leicester. His main consultancy interest lies in Senior Management and Organisational Development

and in the application of advanced process improvement and error reduction approaches such as Six Sigma and the

Lean Organisation. He is course director of Services Ltd.’s Six Sigma and Lean training programmes . He is a leader

in research into Quality Management, including: · Process Improvement Methodology, · Measurement of Quality

initiatives; · Benchmarking and Business Excellence. He is the principal author of eight books on Quality Methods,

management, measurement and Benchmarking as well as the UK Government’s Department of Trade and Industry

QSI Committee which dealt with the Year 2000 revision to ISO 9000 and a member of the Board of Midlands

Excellence and is currently President of the East Midlands Quality Club, a Fellow and Registered Senior Consultant

of the Institute of Quality Assurance, a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and a BQF Licensed Trainer for the

EFQM Excellence Model.

Amalia De Jesus, is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education

(ILGE) and formerly Senior VP of ILGE. She has held the position of Lead Process Analyst

for the Information Technology Center for De La Salle University-Professional Schools Inc.

which serves over 11,000 students and offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in

computer studies, engineering, education, behavioral sciences, communication, and

economics. Their Graduate school offers MS, MBA, PhDs degrees to about 2000+ students

and professionals. Ms. De Jesus has completed Graduate Degree work in Industrial

Engineering and Information Technology as well as holds a degree in Industrial Engineering

from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Philippines and is also a certified Internal Quality Auditor for ISO 9001:2000.

She has held the position of Coordinator for ISO 9000 and Production Planning Head at Plastmann Industrial

Corporation as well as Marketing Director for Asia Pacific Realty and Brokerage Corporation. Ms. De Jesus has

international experience and has been conducting for over ten years Total Quality Management training and

consultancy work for private and public-sector organizations designing quality management systems. She also

facilitates teams for process improvement initiatives.

Peter Eident, D.B.A. is a Faculty Associate of ILGE as well as the Senior Learning &

Knowledge Management Manager - Business Support Services Unit of the United Arab

Emirates Offsets Group. He has been focusing on e-business, developing an SME

incubator for Abu Dhabi and assisting in the Emiratization process. In 1999, Peter

spearheaded the launch of an $82 million initial public offering (IPO) for the International

Fish Farming Company (Asmak). From 1990-1996 Peter was offsets manager of

Sikorsky Aircraft, a division of UTC, and completed assignments in Spain, Norway,

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE. From 1985-1990, he held the position of Managing Director for Venture Group

Partners, USA. Peter holds a DBA from Lincoln University, UK, an MBA in finance from Fordam University, New

York, and a BA in economics from Brown University. He has recently completed his Doctorate in Business

Administration from Lincoln University, UK.

Roxanne Emmerich, CSP, is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) and President of The Emmerich Group Inc. She helps organizations build a

vision that gets their people moving toward a unified goal. She was co-owner of a business that

received the highest national award within its industry, was vice-president of a $70 million

organization by age 28, and did her graduate work in the field of organizational management.

Roxanne is the coauthor of Finding Solutions to Workplace Problems and publisher of SAVVY

newsletter. Successful Meetings magazine has proclaimed Roxanne as one of the top speakers

in the country on organizational change. She is the youngest female business speaker to have received the highest

designation of the National Speakers Association, the Certified Speaking Professional, which less than eight percent

of its membership has attained.

Rand D Fandrich, Ph.D, PHR is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE), as well as founded the Expatriate Foundation in 2008. Dr. Fandrich

holds a Ph.D in Organization and Management (emphasis: Human Resource Management)

from Capella University, an MBA with ASN honors from Regis University, BA in International

Studies from American University, as well as a Goethe Certificate from the Concordia

Institute of German Studies. Certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Human

Resource Certificate Institute in 2005, Dr. Fandrich has been elected to local, state and

regional Society of Human Resource Management positions. His scholar practitioner work

has allowed for private and public sector posts as well as the title of Campus Dean, Director

of Faculty Development, adjunct, and associate Professor at Strayer University, Columbia College, Kaplan University,

Andrew Jackson University, Rasmussen College, and Embry-Riddle . Dr. Fandrich has presented on the topics of

Generational Differences in the Workplace, Expatriate and Repatriation Issues, Outplacement, Change Management,

Outsourcing/Offshoring, and Organizational Behavior and strategy.

Nancy J. Forsythe-Woods, M.A. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE )

as well as corporate training specialist and private consultant and trainer for business and industry. She develops

customized management and employee training programs. Nancy has provided training for all levels of employees in

workshops and seminars throughout the United States and Canada. She gains knowledge from a wide range of

employment experiences, including teaching in secondary and higher education systems systems, consulting for

government and public relations agencies in California, serving as a marketing assistant to the 1984 Olympics in Los

Angeles, owning her own business as a counseling therapist and serving as director of a business and professional

development center. As a result she has valuable insights into the problems and concerns of management and other

employee groups. Her seminars are rich with humor and well known for her keen perception of working relationships,

as is her unique presentation style

Michele Gee, Ph.D. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) as well as Acting Dean of the School of Business at University of

Wisconsin-Parkside. Professor Gee specializes in strategic management and international

business. She currently teaches Business Policy and Global Issues in Management. Prior to

her academic experiences, Professor Gee was a marketing manager at IBM and AT&T. She

has presented her research in numerous international, national, and regional academic and

professional conferences on topics such as cross-cultural management, strategic analyses of

organizations and industries, and economic development issues. She has reviewed existing and proposed textbooks

in strategic management, and has provided extensive strategic planning consulting to organizations and businesses.

Professor Gee has received awards for voluntary strategic planning consultation provided to non-profit organizations.

In addition, she has received many other awards and recognition for outstanding achievements in mentoring,

teaching, and advising students, and service provided to the campus, surrounding communities, and in the University

of Wisconsin System. Dr. Gee has also written several grant proposals, received funding, and directed special

programs in workforce and community economic development, entrepreneurship, and efforts to increase the number

of underrepresented minorities in science, technology, engineering, and math. She also had a two-year appointment

as Assistant to the Provost, and served as Co-Director of the Center for International Studies for three years.

Professor Gee was distinguished as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow in academic year 2006-07.

ACE annually selects a small group of high achieving scholars and provides advanced leadership development and

experiences in the administration of American colleges and universities. Many university presidents, provosts, and

other academic officers are former ACE Fellows. During her ACE Fellowship, Dr. Gee was mentored by the

President and Provost at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. DePaul is the largest Catholic university, and the sixth

largest private university in the United States. She shadowed the President and Provost daily, and was a member of

the President’s Cabinet. As an ACE Fellow at DePaul, she was involved in strategic plan implementation; fiscal policy

and budgeting; large-scale real estate development and negotiations; curriculum review, faculty development and

governance issues in DePaul’s nine major colleges and schools; capital campaign planning and fundraising;

enrollment management and growth; and marketing and promotion. She also became quite familiar with NCAA

Division I, Big East operations and planning; NCA re-accreditation; and Board of Trustees deliberations and decision-

making.

H. James Harrington, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate for the Institute for Leadership

and Global Education (ILGE ) and CEO of Harrington Institute. Dr. Harrington is a Certified

Grand Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Excellence. He has eExpertise in Process &

Innovation Performance Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, Lean

Manufacturing, Problem Solving, Accelerated Performance Improvement and Policy

Deployment. As Chairman of ASQ, was one of the leaders in getting the Malcolm Baldrige

National Quality Award through Congress and approved by the President of the U.S. He also

served as the first Treasurer of the Malcolm Baldrige Consortium that set up and developed

the award. He is a government-registered Quality Engineer, a Certified Quality and Reliability Engineer by the

American Society for Quality Control. The Harrington/Ishikawa Medal presented yearly by the Asian-Pacific Quality

Organization was named after Dr. Harrington to recognize his many contributions to the region. In 1997, the Quebec

Society for Qualite named their Quality Award “The Harrington/Neron Medal,” honoring Dr. Harrington Roger Neron

for their many contributions to the Quality Movement in Canada. In 2000 the Sri Lanka national quality award was

named after him. Dr. Harrington’s contributions to performance improvement around the world have brought him

many honors. He was appointed the honorary advisor to the China Quality Control Association, and was elected to

the Singapore Productivity Hall of Fame in 1990. He has been named lifetime honorary President of the Asia-Pacific

Quality Control Organization and honorary Director of the Association Chilean de Control de Calidad. The European

Partners from the European Universities Network established the Harrington Best TQM Thesis Award in 2004;

awards are given out yearly in Europe and the Middle East. In 2005 the Sudan University established the Harrington

Chair in Performance Excellence. In 2006 Dr. Harrington accepted the Honorary Chairman position of Quality

Technology Park of Iran.

Andrew Higgins, Ph.D.is Faculty Associate for the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) as well as Director of his own research company in New Zealand. He

has completed several major projects in the last two years. These include the highly

respected Report for Ako Aotearoa entitled “Taking the Lead: Strategic Management for

E Learning” and a major piece of research, also for Ako Aotearoa entitled Help or

Hindrances: Blended Approaches to Student Engagement”. In his role as the President

of the Distance Education Association of New Zealand, he sat on a Ministerial Advisory

Committee producing the Highway and Pathways report that generated $35million for e-learning across the whole

education sector. He also led the New Zealand delegation to APEC 2002 in Taipei City addressing the issue of

Bridging the Digital Divide. At the University of Otago, he held the role as Head of Flexible Learning and at AUT

University was Director of E learning. Prior to working in New Zealand, he held the position of Senior Policy Officer

and Services Officer in the Queensland Government as well as similar work with the Queensland Police Service. He

was honored by winning the Queensland State Award for the best public service training package in 1994. Dr.

Higgins also worked as a senior policy officer for the Deputy Director General of Education and then seconded to the

Office of the Cabinet to work on a revision of the state schools curriculum.

Margaret A. Higgins, MBA., MComm., Ph.D. is a Faculty Associate for the Institute for

Leadership and Global Education (ILGE) as well as the Executive Director of The Haven, a

large behavioral health non-profit organization in Tucson, Arizona. USA. Born in the U.K.,

Dr. Higgins received her Doctorate in Communication from the University of Arizona, her

Masters in Commerce from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and her MBA from the

University of Western Australia. Dr. Higgins’ specialty areas include: Leadership &

Management; Business Communication; Project Planning; Research Design; Public

Speaking and presentations; and Media work (on-camera and on radio). Prior to accepting

the position as Executive Director at The Haven, Dr Higgins was the Director, Project Management and

Administration, for the leading national public television research company. Dr. Higgins has worked at various middle

and executive managerial positions in Australia and New Zealand and for more than twenty years has taught

Business Communications, Management, and Research Methods to graduate university students in three countries.

Under her leadership, and with Dr. Higgins’ focus on an organization’s image projection, The Haven has become

widely known, its budget has tripled, services have expanded from a single program for women, to special suites of

programs for Native Americans, and to the provision of behavioral health outpatient and intensive outpatient services

to the Tucson community. Dr. Higgins sits on multiple Commissions, Coalitions, and Boards of Directors, and is the

Mayor’s appointee to the Pima County/Tucson Women’s Commission.

Chris Hinrichs, M. A. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) and brings more than 15 years of experience in human relations training to

attendees of Management Institute programs. Chris has presented innovative seminars

dealing with team work, innovation, power and influence and creativity. For the past seven

years he has specialized in outdoor experiential education. Chris has designed, developed

and implemented programs for such companies as Xerox, Kraft Corporation, Sears,

Pillsbury and the Yale School of Business.

Shirley Kidd, M.Phil. Shirley is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE) and has held faculty positions at several prestigious Universities

including Aston University Business School (UK), Guangxi University (China), and

Princess Nora University (PNU) in Saudi Arabia. She has more than 27 years as a

teacher in Management as well as English as Second Language (ESL) areas in Higher

Education. Rich in cultural diversity, she has extensive experience in teaching English as

a Second Language with a UK Teaching Certificate, Professional Graduate Certificate in

Education (PGCE), and worldwide teaching certificate - Certificate in English Language

Teaching to Adults (CELTA). To improve herself as a teacher, she gained her Master of Philosophy in Business

Management at Aston University Business School, and is Lifetime Member of Beta Gamma Sigma since 2008which

isa worldwide organisation for graduates of Business Schools (accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate

Schools of Business (AACSB) International). She has a wide-ranging experience teaching abroad in Asia, Europe,

and the Middle-East with the ability to integrate theoretical concepts and practical ideas, and apply them to actual

classroom situations. Shirley views teaching and learning as a dynamic and interactive process. She is specialised in

Academic writing skills/writer’s workshop/ interactive games/ critical and analytical reading skills / listening and note-

Donald L. Kirkpatrick, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE)as well as Professor Emeritus for the University of Wisconsin-Madison

and a well-known author and seminar leader. As a management and training consultant for the

past 35 years, Don has conducted management seminars internationally, including classes in

India, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Fiji Islands, Singapore,

Venezuela, Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Among the many organizations he has developed

management programs for are Aid Association for Lutherans, Allen-Bradley, Eastman Kodak,

Goodyear, Honeywell, IBM, Johnson Wax, Kemper Insurance, Mayo Foundation, State Farm Insurance, University of

Disneyland and Wausau Insurance. He is re-knowned widely for his special expertise on the Four Levels of Learning

which still is a helpful tool for those in Human Resource Management.

Jack Kondrasuk, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) as well as Professor Emeritus of University of Portland. Jack is a visionary

manager/educator/researcher/consultant with about 40 years experience in the human resource

management field. As Assistant to the President of the University of Portland helped develop

the first organization objectives program and first administrative organization chart. As director of

an international professional association group organized a project for a “SWAT team” of the

best consultants in the world to go to the world’s trouble spots to try to assist them in resolving

their problems. Traveled to over 40 countries in the world; presented courses in Mexico, Russia, Ukraine, and

Poland; and gave a keynote conference speech in China. Developed and copyrighted the first applied test of MBO in

the United States. First to show innovative relationship in relating training evaluation methods, first faculty member to

offer practitioner workshops at the University of Portland, first to teach classes concurrently in two countries by using

the Internet, first to be an instigator for the People’s Republic of China’s first 5-year plan to emphasize Human

Resource Development. Leader of 136 professionals and a six-figure budget to produce a regional professional

conference that set new quality standards while still producing very high profits (record high conference evaluation,

2nd highest in profit while charging lowest participant fees to that time

John W. Link, M.S., is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE) and has

extensive experience in management team development, strategic planning, conflict intervention and customer

service and process redesign. He is well known as a writer on chaos and complexity theory application to

organizations, and a faculty member of the Graduate School of the USDA. A consultant and trainer for the last 14

years, John has worked with organizations such as George Mason University, OPM, American European Investment

Co., Foreign Service, Inc., Spot Image, Inc., FHWA, Army Corps of Engineers as well as the EPA and the CIA.

Marc Michaels, M.P.A. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE as well as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch and has previously held the

post of Director of the Business and Technology Center of Parkland College in Champaign,

Mark also is the founder of The Chaos Network, an international association of people applying

discoveries from the new science of chaos and complex systems to improve organizational

effectiveness. He has presented his leading-edge work on management development at

national conferences of associations such as the American Society for Training and

Development and the Organizational System Designers Alliance. Mark is also president of

People Technologies, a management consulting firm, and as adjunct professor teaches management at Illinois

Benedictine College.

Mufaddal Mirza, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate of ILGE and is Founder President of

Total Quality Life Maintenance Associates and Regional Director of Reliable Energy

Savings Inc. with a Mission to Transform Professionals to Entrepreneurs and SMEs to

GREAT Global Businesses. He is also the Founder, President, and Regional Director of

Reliable Energy Savings Inc. Dr. Mirza has diverse Academic & Corporate experience

through association with WSU & UIUC (USA), Illinois State Geological Survey, Exxon

Chemicals and Procter & Gamble. His last full-time assignment was as an Associate

Professor of Industrial Engineering & Management at Institute of Business Management.

Mufaddal in integration with his global team of Engineers and Scientists is engaged in

GREEN Energy, Self Sustaining Organic Dairy Farming/Processing, SMART Family Health Care and Holistic

Entrepreneurial Leadership Education with operations in USA, Europe, Africa, Middle East and South Asia. He is

John M. O’Donnell, Ph.D., is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE and

Founder and Director of The Milwaukee (Wisconsin) Wellness Resource Center. He also serves on the staff of St.

Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee as a clinical psychologist. John specializes in preventive medicine, hypnosis,

meditation, smoking and weight control, stress management, nutrition, occupational burnout and rehabilitation

psychology.

Geoffrey C. Olive, BSC., M.ED, is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE) as well as Associate Professor and Lab Manager at the College of

Technology at Wilmington University in Delaware, USA. He was born in 1946 and holds dual

nationality, British and USA. Born and raised in the UK he graduated with a B.Sc. (Honours)

degree in Geology from the University of London, King’s College in 1973. In 1991, from the

University College of North Wales, Bangor, he graduated with a Master of Education degree in

Information Technology. Prior to this he was awarded a Graduate Certificate in Science

Education from the University of London Institute of Education and a Certificate in Media Resources from South

Thames College in London. In the UK education system he has been a secondary school science teacher, a media

resources specialist, a college lecturer in education technology, and the head of a media resources unit. Prior to

moving to the USA in 1997, he was a Senior Lecturer in Mass Communication at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore,

for over seven years, specializing in audio and radio production technology and techniques, and computer science.

As an Assistant Professor/Course Coordinator at Wilmington College he was instrumental in starting the Division of

Information Technology & Advanced Communication. In addition to teaching audio and computer classes, he

provides administrative and technical support for the division. Prior to attending university he worked in various

industries ranging from flight attendant for BOAC (British Airways), geologist on North Sea oil rigs, and computer

service engineer for Sperry Univac. Personal interests include collecting old vinyl records, and the martial arts as a

part-time instructor.

Raj Parikh, Ph.D., C.M.A., C.F.M. is a Senior Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE) as well as Dean of the School of Business and Communication at

Mercyhurst University of Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Pariikh has also held the position of

Commissioner of Higher Education in the United Arab Emirates and been former Provost and Vice

President of Academic Affairs at Delaware State University. He has held the posts of Dean of the

School of Business at Southern Oregon University as well as Dean of the the Harold Siebens

School of Business at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, and Founding Dean of the

School of Leadership and Human Development and professor of Accounting and Finance at St. Bonaventure

University. Dr. Parikh became a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1986 by receiving the highest

examination score in the nation, for which he received the Robert Beyer Gold Medal. He became a Certified Financial

Manager (CFMin) 1997 and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2001. In 1998 he founded a Master’s program in

Professional Leadership. This program was the first Leadership program in New York State and received the 1998-

99 PaceSetter Award for innovation. He started a similar program (M.S. in Organizational Leadership) and a

Weekend MBA program at Wilmington College in fall, 2002. These programs were also the first such programs in the

state of Delaware.

Larry Pate, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate for ILGE and Burwell Endowed Chair in

Entrepreneurship Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Chair, Department of

Entrepreneurship, College of Business & Public Administration, University of North Dakota,

Grand Forks, ND. Dr. Pate brings more than 27 years of teaching and academic research

experience and is has help post of directing the research agenda for executive learning in the

Loyola Marymount University's College of Business Administration, which includes the Executive

MBA (EMBA) Program and non-degree executive education. Dr. Pate is widely published in the

fields of leadership, decision making and organizational change and received his PhD from the

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has previously held positions as director of executive programs at the

University of Southern California and the Institute for Human Resource Management at the University of Utah.

Debbie N. Pepin, M.Ed., is a Faculty Associate of the Institute of Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) and the Founder of The Learning Space as well as a recognized figure in the

field of education. Not only does she speak passionately about educational reform, but she also

created a “model school” to serve as an example for others. Her goal is to inspire individuals,

schools, businesses, and community leaders to think about learning in a context that goes

beyond the traditional schoolhouse. She convincingly describes the alienation of a high

percentage of youth from schools and the long-term negative effect on our society. Furthermore,

she quotes CEO’s examples of poor workforce preparedness of a high number of employees.

Her research concludes that one size will not fit all in the field of education. At present, she serves as an independent

consultant on education issues. Her “tag line” is “learning to learn to last a lifetime”. She presently consults with

charter schools, interested individuals, and higher education institutions across the US who recognize the need for

improvement in order to grow. With the Florida State University Accountability Center and the Department of

Education, she has developed a program to educate charter school Board of Directors and their administrators about

roles, requirements, and opportunities.

Robin Pratt. Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) as well as President of Enhanced Performance Systems, Inc., has 21 years of

experience in management, psychology, education and athletics. Currently associate professor

of organizational studies at the University of San Francisco, Dr. Pratt works with executives,

managers and athletes in enhancing their performance under pressure and helping them

increase their leadership effectiveness. He provides training and consulting services to private

and public sector organizations throughout the country. His management seminars are spiced

from the sport idiom and training programs for athletes and students get a taste of business executive fare. All benefit

from Pratt’s knowledge of the psychology of learning and gain new insights into poise under pressure from his

training in the martial arts (taijiquan).

Robert Preziosi, D.P.A. is a Senior Faculty Associate of ILGE as well as Professor of

Management with the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova

Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has been teaching and training adults for

decades. He was recently honored by inclusion of his autobiography in the book Quintessential

Adult Educators of the 21st Century. He is currently the Chair for Nova’s Master of Science

program in Human Resource Management and the originator of the curriculum and design for

Nova's Doctorate program in Human Resource Management. In December of 2000, he was

named "Professor of the Decade". In 1997, he received the school's first "Excellence in Teaching Award." In 2003 he

was named "Faculty of the Year". He has been Vice President of Management Development and Training for a

Fortune 50 company. In 1984, he was given the Outstanding Contribution to HRD Award by the American Society for

Training and Development. In 1990, he received the "Torch Award," the highest leadership award that the Society

can give. He was named HRD Professional of the Year for 1991. He has recently been named to the first edition of

ASTD has given a second Torch Award to one individual.

Alex Semilof, M.S., Ph.D. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE) and has

experience in the field of Human Resources and Training and Development for over 16 years. He is a skilled

consultant adept in providing interventions that enable his clients to achieve their business objectives, including their

manpower planning needs. Alex uses his organizational communications and rapport-building skills to provide

leadership and develop successful initiatives at all levels of organizations. He combines group and individual one-on-

one interactions in order to provide the means for organizations to accomplish their mission. Alex’s background

includes ten years as an independent training/human resources management consultant, nearly four years as a

Process Consultant for Duke University and Health System and five years with ITT Sheraton. He was a member of

the pre-opening teams for the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Sheraton Chicago hotels, both 1,500-room properties.

Currently, Alex provides consulting and coaching for numerous organizations in both the for-profit and non-Profit

sectors. Alex’s consulting firm is appropriately named Results Oriented Consulting, reflecting his commitment to

closely monitoring and measuring the results of his initiatives. Alex became a Certified Human Resources Executive

in 1993 and has since been certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and by the Center for Creative Leadership to

deliver Benchmarks. In December 2001 he completed his masters degree in Liberal Studies from Duke University

and he is currently working to earn his Ph.D. Alex has earned his black belt in karate. Additionally, he volunteers at

the Animal Protection Society in Durham, North Carolina and recently co-founded the non-profit organization The

Society for the Sharing and Preservation of Himalayan Heritage.

Scott J. Simmerman, Ph.D. is a Senior Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE) as well as President of Performance Management Company in

Taylors, South Carolina. He is consistently rated as a top presenter of team building, change,

leadership and organizational effectiveness programs. With a broad base of business, research

and academic experience, Scott has delivered workshops, executive retreats and presentation

worldwide over the past two decades. His company publishes the Square Wheels books and

distributes The Search for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine, Seven Seas Quest and

Buccaneer team building/collaboration games. These and other training tools were designed by

Scott and are used by organizations and consultant worldwide. Clients include widely recognized multinational

corporations, governments, small businesses as well as independent consultants and trainers using these materials.

Invited presenter for programs in Hong Kong, South Africa, Mauritius, Macau, Portugal, The Netherlands, Singapore,

The Philippines, Sweden, Denmark, and New Zealand – 30 countries in all thus far. A former professor Psychology

at Furman University and University Teaching Fellow at the University of North Carolina, Scott received a Ph.D. in

Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1976. He was founding president of a local chapter of the International

Customer Service Association and is Past-Chairperson of the Palmetto Chapter of the American Society for Quality.

Consulting and training since 1978, he as Human Resource Director of the Home Silk Shops (a chain of retail stores)

and Senior Vice President – Operations of the Wherehouse (a West Coast retailer) and other positions in consulting

Leelavathi Subramaniam, M.B.A. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE) as well as Malaysia Country Director. She is also an accomplished

trainer, speaker and consultant both in the local Malaysian and international circles. She has

24 years of working experience ranging from banking to sales force and manufacturing and

education before embarking into training and consultancy. She started her career in the

international banking industry and followed on into MNC and the education industry, having

held positions as Bank Executive, Training Executive, Sales Manager, Training Manager,

HOD and Consultant. She represented the local Malaysian TAFE with Western TAFE Australia and also the program

accreditation. She was the international student liaison for students from China. Leela has real in-depth experiences

of many industries namely MNC’s, SME and SMI’s and its full deployment of task and people management as well as

consultancy in training and development. She has trained many participants from Asia Pacific, Middle East, Dubai,

Oman, India, China, African countries such as Sudan. Her current exposure in training all the universities in effective

communication and customer service has given her a holistic view of diplomatic understanding of foreign culture,

gender and adaptation. Leela enhances her training with exposure to organizational changes, human capital

development and performance towards productivity. Her training in soft skills and development work experience

Marianne Weidlein, BSBA, CPC is a faculty associate of the Institute for Leadership and

Global Education (ILGE as well as has 45 years of experience in business, human

potential development, spirituality, and personal transformation. Her lifework is to

understand what makes humans "tick", and how to transform self-limitation into focused

power that manifests extraordinary results. Marianne launched her self-employment 29

years ago, as a single mother, with $200, and a powerful drive to help others succeed. She began by facilitating

courses on self-employment basics. In her groups, while people gained relevant information, heightened

understanding of relevant knowledge, and a rewarding experience, most did not apply this to ensure their success.

Impelled to help them, Marianne offered one-on-one coaching in self-mastery, optimal performance, and self-

employment. She used Reflective Questioning - a coaching method she developed and has used since 1989. With it,

she directs clients to understand the cause of their limitation, transform it into focused power that manifests

Chris Wildermuth, Ph.D. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global

Education (ILGE) as well as Assistant Professor at Drake University’s Adult Learning and

Organizational Performance master’s program. Cris, originally from Rio de Janeiro,

specializes in Organizational Development and Leading Change, Designing Learning

Interventions, Ethics, Contemporary Workplace Issues, and Applied Research. She also

teaches diversity, employee engagement, business ethics, training and development, and

team building programs. She has worked in various countries such as Mexico, Brazil,

Argentina, Peru, Chile, Colombia, and Finland. She also is noted as being Community Chair and Editor-in-Chief at

Linked:HR, the largest HR group on LinkedIn. Chris is an engaging speaker and brings an extensive background to

her work, having been a manager, career advisor, and a business consultant specializing in training and

organizational development projects. She has developed and facilitated leadership and diversity programs to major

international organizations such as Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks, Walmart, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and

Deutsche Bank. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English; able to speak and train in all three languages.

Robert L. Witte, Ph.D. is a Faculty Associate of the Institute for Leadership and Global Education (ILGE and a noted

organizational psychologist and a retired Professor of Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

One of Dr. Witte's specialties is the psychology of well being. He has a Ph.D in applied psychology and has worked

as a consultant to business and industry for more than 30 years. His career experience includes working with

managers in Portugal, India, Venezuela, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia as well as the United States. He is a

member of the American Psychological Association, Wisconsin Psychological Association, and the Division of

Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Anne Marie Zwerg-Villegas, Ph.D. (candidate) is a Faculty Associate of ILGE as well

as a candidate to Ph.D in Administration and Organization Studies at Universidad EAFIT

in Medellín, Colombia and candidate to the doctoral diploma in International Business

from the Nordic Research School of International Business at Uppsala University,

Sweden. She holds a Master in International Business from Baylor University and a B.A.

in Economics from Virginia Tech. Her research interests include firm internationalization

and career development within internationalizing environments. In particular, she studies

inclusion and diversity at professional and executive levels within the internationalizing firm. Native of the United

States, she has lived over half of her life in Latin America. This international work-life experience has shaped her

understanding of how globalization impacts countries and individuals differently. Before initiating her academic

career, Anne worked in banking in both the United States and Colombia and in project management in Puerto Rico.
