READER……LEADER

"Reading" is the process of looking at a series of written symbols and getting meaning from them.

When we read, we use our eyes to receive written symbols and we use our brain to convert them into words, sentences and paragraphs.


• Reading can be silent or aloud .

• Reading is the third of the four language skills, which are:1. Listening2. Speaking3. Reading4. Writing


Types of reading

1. Skimming2. Scanning3. Extensive reading4. Intensive reading


1. SKIMMING

Skimming is looking over something very quickly, just to get an idea of what the entire piece is about. Shaping the futureAtul Vidyalaya

2. SCANNING

Scanning is similar to skimming, but the purpose is to find something specific within the reading material.


3. EXTENSIVE READING

Extensive reading is reading long pieces either for pleasure or information, such as novels.


4. INTENSIVE READING

Intensive reading is reading shorter pieces, such as articles in a magazine or newspaper.


LANGUAGES IN INDIA

Reading helps us to connect

to various regional

languages.

Integrated learning helps students and teachers to read and understand the concepts of different subjects.




Students donate books if long leave taken without prior permission.




Educators are given book allowance every month.




Educators were taken to crossword on teachers day to buy books.
