If you give Phil a cookie,

Page 3: If You Give Phil A Cookie

he’ll want some milk to go with it. So you’ll bring out the milk from the refrigerator.

Page 4: If You Give Phil A Cookie

When he’s finished eating the cookie,

Page 5: If You Give Phil A Cookie

he’ll want another.

Page 6: If You Give Phil A Cookie

And another.

Page 7: If You Give Phil A Cookie

And another.

Page 8: If You Give Phil A Cookie

When they’re all gone, he’ll ask you to make more.

You’ll have to go to the store to get some chocolate chips.

He’ll want to go with you.

Page 9: If You Give Phil A Cookie

When he opens the door and sees that it’s raining,he’ll ask for an umbrella.

Page 10: If You Give Phil A Cookie

The orange dots on the umbrella will remind him

of the orange shorts he wears in the summer.

Page 12: If You Give Phil A Cookie

So he’ll ask for some sunglasses.

He’ll put them on and look outside.

Page 13: If You Give Phil A Cookie

He’ll see Lucy outside in the rain.

Page 14: If You Give Phil A Cookie

He’ll let her in and realize that she needs to be dried off. He’ll ask you for a towel.

Page 15: If You Give Phil A Cookie

You’ll bring him a big white towel. He’ll wrap it around Lucy, but her tail will stick out.

Page 16: If You Give Phil A Cookie

The towel will remind him that he wants to be a ghost for Halloween.

He’ll try it on and shout, “BOO!”

Page 17: If You Give Phil A Cookie

It’ll scare him so much that he’ll knock over a watering can.

So he’ll use the towel to clean up the mess.

Page 18: If You Give Phil A Cookie

He’ll probably want to hang the towel up to dry.

He’ll go into his room to hang it up.

Page 19: If You Give Phil A Cookie

He’ll see his toy farm animals.

Seeing the cow will remind him of milk.

Page 20: If You Give Phil A Cookie

He’ll probably ask

you for some.

Page 21: If You Give Phil A Cookie

And chances are, if you give him the milk, he’ll want a cookie to go with it.
