INTRODUCTION

In a group of two, students are required to look for a specific empty land to initiate a small construction project for their final project of Introduction of Construction Industry. The size of the land shall be between 2500m² to 3500m². After they have selected the site, they are required to introduce the site plan, site analysis and observation.

Individually, we have to propose a project that serves any one or combination of two of the following purposes, recreational area, commercial area, industrial area, agriculture area, tourism area, religious area and residential area.

This project enables students to develop understanding of the building team, its organisation, duties and inter-relations within which they will seek employment, career progression or further study. Furthermore, this assignment also allows student to develop an awareness of their professional responsibilities and to appreciate their profession in the construction industry.

Our chosen site is situated at USJ 16 in Subang Jaya, Selangor. It is located within residential areas and a commercial area. It has a high potential to be developed into a commercial area, residential area or religious area. This development could bring the most benefits to the community in USJ 16.

- The park is near to ELITE highway.

Consumer Convenience

- The park is surrounded by residential area and commercial shopping lots.

Easy Accessibility to Petrol Station

- The petrol station is just 350m away from the park.

Traffic Jam

- Severe traffic congestion during peak hours such as 7-9 am and 4-6 pm.

Dumping Site

- An abandoned gazebo has become a rubbish gathering site for residents.
