Definition
Vocabulary is a list or collection of words arranged in alphabetical order and explained, a dictionary or lexicon, either of a whole language, a single work or author, a branch of sciene, or the like, a word book.
INTRODUCING VOCABULARY
Example 4 below is clearly designed to focus the students’ attention on an aspect of vocabulary.
Example 1 : Walking, running, jumping
Focus : verb of movement
Age : adult
Level : beginner
Example 2 : InvitingFocus : Functional languageAge : adultLevel : pre-intermediate

PRACTISING VOCABULARY
In the following lesson sequences the aimof the activity is either to have students usewords that they more or less know, but whichthey need to be provoked into using, or to getthem to think about word meaning, especiallyin context.
