Inputting video into timeline

Firstly, by importing the videos that you want to edit into adobe premier, you can then select the most successful footage, trim to the part you want and insert it into the timeline.

You would need to render your video if there is a red bar on the timeline for the video to run smoothly, to do this you need to go to “edit” and click “render timeline”.

Splitting video

To be able to cut a single clip into two while retaining the whole content without trimming or shortening anything, you have to click the video on the timeline and press the “split clip” icon.

This function is useful when you wish to insert different scenes in between the original video then cut back to it at quick pace.

Filters

By selecting the black and white filter and dragging it to the desired video you can add the selected filter onto the video.

We chose to use high contrast monochrome in the montage scene to enable the viewer to know that it’s a flashback and enhance the rock genre, since the contrast made the scene more dramatic and masculine.

To achieve this effect we experimented with the highlights and shadows. By increasing the highlights, we made it seemed like it was filmed in a studio with spotlights which help to give our scenes on lip syncing a professional touch.
