So…How did we attract/address our audience?

• In our media product, the two minute opening to our thriller film, “Friends Like These”, we tried to appeal to a certain target audience, which is really important to do in the very opening of the film that we made as a group. To attract the audience, we had to make sure our key features were met. We aimed for a movie based on a target audience of teenagers, though we also, like other films within the age classification(s) we went with, decided that we will allow other age groups beyond the age group of 15-18, to view our film as well. Once we had figured out the targeted audience, we had to think of the different aspects that would attract this audience and how these would help to maintain the interest of the viewers.

Our/My Market Research

• Apart from uploading our opening sequence to YouTube, I decided to go forth with research of my own, and create a survey and sending the hyperlink for the questionnaire to people I know. The results that come back for us were somewhat palpable, and I will present on the upcoming slides.

The general outlook for me

• It was great to see some good feedback as well as a few constructive criticisms, which I as well as my group will take on board when creating future projects.
