With in the production of our film we had a lot more time in order to plan for our film than the preliminary. Our film also included a lot more detailed and difficult shots to film , as we needed to make sure it created the effect needed, as well as following the codes and conventions of a horror thriller.

When shooting we also chose better settings to shoot our movie in , the preliminary was more about getting to grips with the shot types and did not have much of a story line. Story boards were created for both ,before shooting anything , however more planning went into our film as we had to think about how we could film the shots as well as slightly changing it to fit in better with the story line. By the time we started to shoot footage for our film we had also learn about more shot types meaning we were able to incorporate better and more effect shots into our actual film. Having a story board ready for us before actually starting to shoot made it much easier as we had a clear plan of all shots that were needed and this helped with the speeed of our filming.

The quality of the footage of our film I feel is good as we have used tripods, apart from certain shots such as hand help or the dolly tracking shot , for most of the scenes to enable the camera to be flat , at a good height and to ensure it is good quality and not shaky.

Different angles are used within our film production to show mood and status of characters for example at one point the camera is pointing slightly down at the main character , this can show vulnerability as well as showing the audience that she is not in power.

During producing our film we had to re film a few shots as we felt we could make them a lot better and much more effective. Also some shots when we looked back at them were slightly out of focus or blurry so we went back and re filmed so our film looked as realistic and high quality as possible. Furthermore when looking at our footage we found a slight continuity error that also didn't fit perfectly within the film so we went back and refilmed to make it fit better. When we shot the very first scene we realised although we wanted very low key lighting to set the mood , it was however too dark , so we went back and re shot to make it slightly clearer and added more light , we did so successfully.

In order to improve the quality of our film during editing , we first made a rough draft so we knew how it would look . After creating the first draft of our film we added various transitions to add effect and help the pace of the film , this we done using iMovie. By adding transitions this meant the fluidity of our film was much better and helped to show the jump when we changed locations. Once going through our rough copy and we knew what order everything was in we proceeded to make it better by adding some subtle effects to our film such as in the first scene we flipped a video to slightly disorientate the viewer this also helped to reflect on the confusion of the character. Once this step completed we looked for royalty free sound effects and music to add to our production, this would help with the mood the film created. Some music we chose was necessary to create tension and a eerie feel to the scene. By adding extra sound and editing some sounds out of our film this made the film look very high quality. Finally we exported our production onto final cut pro , this is a much better editing software than I movie and this is were we added titles and credits as we felt the text from final cut was much better quality and much more realistic than I movie.
