How Consistent is my work?

One the example on the previous slide you can see the consistency between ‘Twilight-New Moon’ film poster and the empire film magazine. They creators have kept the same dark gloomy lighting creating the mysterious feel and look to the characters. They have also kept the same stare into readers eyes, almost like he is looking into your eyes the same way he looks at Bella. This is engaging and draws you in to wanting to see the film as you want to know why he is looking at you the way he is and why is body language is like this. In both he looks at you in a quite threatening way, in a way to say ‘stay away’, like he is protecting something. This also comes across in the trailer. The trailer starts very dark and gloomy like the poster and magazine front cover so the producers have done this well. The music is very strange and sets a strange atmosphere when you watch the trailer. In the trailer you also see how protective he is over Bella which come across by his body language in the poster and magazine.

Twilight New Moon Trailer

My poster and magazine cover are consistent with each other due to both of them showing images of the models in similar era clothing. My poster shows my female model with her hair pinned up and subtle make-up with red lipstick. This matches with my models look on the magazine cover as the hair is styled in the same way and is wearing the same make-up to coincide with the 1960s theme of the whole trailer. The relationship between the two models are shown on both of them as on the poster you see the love between them in the way that they are looking at them which is also reflected in their pose in the free poster that is shown on the magazine cover. This is also evident in the film trailer itself due to the characters always holding each other, kissing and showing general affection towards one another. The Final Mile Trailer

I knew I had to keep everything consistent as I needed to keep a professional look to all three of my products and like my inspirations they all needed to be the same with the same elements to all three. I was happy with how well I done this through out my poster, magazine and trailer.
