Hospital Teachers

3. The unit of Hospital Schools of the south of Madrid are made up of five hospital schools settled in Alcorcón, Fuenlabrda, Leganés, Getafe and Móstoles.

1. We provide educational attention to hospitalized students and pupils who cannot attend to their own school and stay at home for at least one month.

2. We work with students from 3 to 18 years old in hospital schools and from 6 to 14 at home.

4. Three teachers work in each hospital school. One is the school teacher and the other two are home teachers.

ObjetivesThe main aim is provide educational attention

to hospitalized students in order to ensure the continuity of the teaching and learning process, and avoid educational lags asa result of their situation.

How do we work? From 9.00 to 9.30: Coordination with

sanitary and educational staff

From 9.30 to 13.00: Classroom time

From 13.00 to 13.30: Lunch From 13.30 to 15.00: Workshops

Timetable and activities are flexible, adapted to the characteristics of our pupils

Individuals (Curriculum work using books, worksheets and ICT tools)

Collective (Workshops, games, etc)

“Special” (Activities with families, staff, festivals, etc)

Activities

We focus our classroom work on children interest. From that interest we do different activities using several techniques.
