PREFACE"The History of Education...3D . . . and its Negative Impact onFreedom" is intended for use by Americans opposed to therestructuring of America's education system from its traditionalfocus on "Individual Academic Achievement for Upward Mobility"to cooperative global work force training/politically correctattitude formation (Limited Learning for Lifelong Labor) .

The author, who has devoted twenty-five years to educationresearch and who has served as a local school board memberand as a Senior Policy Advisor in the U .S. Department ofEducation, is making this available in order to encourage anunderstanding and awareness by Americans of the solid,indisputable facts underlying the betrayal of Americans and theirfamilies. Americans cannot preserve their free society, with allits protections guaranteed by our Constitution, if they do notunderstand how our nation/schools arrived at this critical point inhistory. The likelihood of a One World Government under a WorldConstitution becomes more obvious every day . In order to winthis WAR OF ALL WARS W E MUST IDENTIFY THE ENEMY.The author trusts that this documented chronological expose ofthe planned destruction of America and its once superb andmoral education system will assist parents and teachers as theyconfront the change agents in government, business, religion,and education who have banded together to implement this alienatheistic United Nations global management system, all the whiledenying that there has been a plan or that anyone conspired torob us of our freedoms. This chronological history lays to resttheir denial of "conspiracy ."

It is hoped that citizens will arrange meetings at which thisoverhead chronology can be shown, explained and discussed,and at which plans can be made to return education to the locallevel. During such meetings postcards should be passed out andwritten to our elected officials requesting RESCISSION OFUNITED STATES MEMBERSHIP IN THE UNITED NATIONSFROM WHICH MOST OF THE PROBLEMS ENUMERATED INTHIS PUBLICATION HAVE EMANATED .

Although ithas been hard for all of us who have become discouraged,dismayed, and frustrated by the glazed expressions of ouracquaintances when presented with the truth, we have had awonderful time working together . I never cease to marvel overyour senses of humor while plowing through the change agents'dull but deadly research. Remember the many times wecompared our research efforts to eating peanuts ...the more weate the less likely we were to stop eating . We have been soshocked by what we found that we kept going to find out ifanything more outlandish was around the corner. And we havenever been disappointed with the next peanut .

1, for one, consider your friendship a reward almost equal to apossible victory over those who would reduce our children torobotized slaves in the New World Order. You are the patriotsof the Twentieth Century, the true workers in the vineyard, nevertiring, never compromising . You have, with no compensationwhatsoever or provision of outside resources, played the mostimportant role in the postponement of what may NOT hopefully,be what we have at times felt to be inevitable. Finally, there is alittle light flickering at the end of the tunnel : Concernededucators coming on board? 1 want also to thank thosetraditional public school teachers, who under incrediblepressure,have taught our children the basics, and who havesilently postponed the day of reckoning . As I put this historytogether I became more and more aware that we owe theseteachers an enormous thank-you .

I also dedicate this publication to my husband who has cookeddelicious meals while I was on the floor searching for that oneessential document to "nail the change agent at the meetingtonight". And to my two sons who have become, along with myhusband, education experts, by osmosis . This program was adopted last week by37S appointed representatives of 3o-odddenominations culled together at OhioWesleyan University by the Federal Coun-cil of Churches . Among the 375 delegates who draftedthe program were 15 bishops of five de-nominations, seven seminary heads (in-cluding Yale, Chicago, Princeton, Colgae-Rochester), eight college and universitypresidents (including Princeton's HaroldW. Dodds), practically all the rankingofficials of the Federal Council and agroup of well-known laymen, includingJohn R. Mott, Irving Fisher and HarveyS. Firestone Jr . "Intellectually," saidMethodist Bishop Ivan Lee Holt of Texas,

"this is the most distinguished Americanchurch gathering I have seen in 30 years ofconference-going ."

Tire meeting showed its temper early bypassing a set of 13 "requisite principles forpeace" submitted by Chair o N-ter Dultgi and his inter-c wrch ommis-sion to Study the Bases of a Just andDurable Peace . These principles, far fromputting all the onus on Germany or Japan .bade the U .S. give thought to the short-sighted selfishness of its own policiesafter World War I, declared that the U .S .would have to turn over a new leaf if theworld is to enjoy lasting peace . Excerpts :1 "For at least a generation we have heldpreponderant economic power in the world .and with it the capacity to influence de-cisively the shaping of world events . Itshould be a matter of shame and humilia-tion to us that actually the influence',shaping the world have largely been ir-responsible forces. Our own positive in-fluence has been impaired because of con-centration on self and on our short-rangematerial gains. . . . If the future is to beother than a repetition of the past, theU.S. must accept the responsibility furconstructive action commensurate withits power and opportunity."1 "The natural wealth of the . world is I

This calls for more than an offer tosell to all on equal terms . ference split up into four groups to study,respectively, the social, economic and po-litical problems of the post-war worldand the problem of the church's ownposition in that world .' Discussion waxedhot & heavy, with one notable silence : in

a week when the Japs were taking Java,discussion of the war itself was practicallylaboo. Reason : The Federal Council feltthat, since five of its other commissionsare directly connected with the war effort,the conference's concern should be withplans for peace . One war statement-"the Christian Church as such is not atwar"-was proposed by Editor CharlesClayton Morrison, of the influential andisolaIionist-before- Pearl-Ilarbor ChristianCentury. This statement was actually in-serted in a subcommittee report by a64-58 vote after a sharp debate . In theplenary session, however, it was ruled outof order .Some of the conference's economic

opinions were almost as sensational as theextreme internationalism of its politicalprogram . It held that "a new order ofeconomic life is both imminent and im-pcrative"-a new order that is sure tocome either "through voluntary coopera-0 Despite their zvad for world political, socialand economic unity, the churchmen were lessdrastic when it came to themselves . They werefrank enough to admit that their own lack - ofunity was no shining example to the secularworld, but did no more than call for "a new eraof inter-deuontiuational cooperation in which theclaims of couperatwe effort should be placed, sofar as possible, before denominational prestige ."

. must appeal to the Christian motiveof human service as paramount to personalgain or governmental coercion ."

"Collectivism is coming, whether welike it or not," the delegates were told byuu less a churchnian thin England's 1)r .William Paton, co-secretary of the WorldCouncil of Churches, but the conferencedid not veer as far to the left as itsdefinitely pinko British counterpart, thenow famous Malvern Conference (TIME,Jan. ao, 19 .11) . It did, however, back upLabor's demand for an increasing sharein industrial management. It echoed La-bor's shibboleth that the denial of collectivebargaining "reduces labor to a commodity ."It urged taxation designed "to the endthat our wealth may be more equitablydistributed ." It urged experimentation withgovernment and cooperative ownership .

"Every individual," the conference de-clared, "has the right to full-time educa-tional opportunities . . to economicsecurity in retirement . to adequatehealth service (and an] obligation to workin some socially necessary service ."

The conference statement on (lie politi-cal bases of a just and durable peace pro-claimed that the first post-war duty of the .church "will be the achievement of a justpeace settlement with due regard to thewelfare of all file nations, the vanquished,the overrun and the victors alike ." Incontrast to the blockade of Germanyafter World War I, it called for im-mediate provision of food and other es-sentials afteP the war for every country 'needing them . "We must get back," ex-plained Methodist Bishop Francis J . AIc-Councll, "to a stable material prosperitynot only to strengthen men's bodies butto strengthen their souls ."

Politically, the conference's most im-portant assertion was that many dutiesnow performed by local and national gov-erumenls "can now be effectively carriedout only by international authority ." In-dividual nations, it declared, must give up(heir armed forces "except for preserva-tion of domestic order" and allow theworld to be policed by nn internationalarmy & navy. This League-of-Nations-with-teeth would also have "the power offinal judgment in controversies betweennations . . . the regulation of internationaltrade and population movements amongnations."

The ultimate goal : "a duly constitutedworld government of delegated powers :an international legislative body, an in-ternational court with adequate juris-diction, international administrative bod-ies with necessary powers, and adequate in-ternational police forces and provision forenforcing its worldwide economic author-ity ."
