5. A Typical Day
7:30-8:45Start your day with breakfast in your hotel
9:00-12:00Enjoy a morning activity such as city sightseeing or a
bicycle tour
12:00-1:00Lunch. Your group may choose to take a tour managers
suggestion for the best pizza/crepes/paella in town or browse a
local market and picnic in the park
1:00-3:00Participate in a Cultural Connection designed to immerse
you in the local culture, or use an ACIS Walking Tour to explore a
museum or sight
3:00-6:00Free time to shop for souvenirs, explore local
neighborhoods or relax in a town square
6:30-7:30 Time for dinner
7:30-11:00An evening activity such as a boat ride, a show or
concert, or a Culture Quest will keep you entertained or enjoy
activities as organized by your group leader
6. Learning Objectives
Each trip includes specific Learning Objectives that are
highlighted during the tour and which will help you reflect on the
history and cultures of the place you are visiting! During your
trip you will:
Gain an understanding of the 1930's social legislation which
instituted paid vacations for all French workers, and its effect on
the infrastructure and economy of the Alps at Chamonix and the
French Riviera at Nice.
Come to understand the possibilities of garden as art in their
visit to Versailles.
Evaluate the appeal and impact of tourism in Nice over the last
century and a half.

Perfume Workshop and Factory Tour in Eze: Tour the factory, learn
what it's like to be an official "nose" and come away with a
fragrant bottle of your own creation.
Chamonix Culture Quest: Uncover the secrets of Chamonix as you
search the village for answers in the shadow of the
Alps.

Day 2-3|Paris City tour and Versailles
A bit of royalty
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour that shows you Paris most
famous sites such as the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and more!
10. Afternoon trip to Versailles to see the beautiful gardens
of the Sun Kings palace, including the Latona Fountain, before
returning to Paris for the evening.

Begin your day at the Ecole Boulangerie where you will assist
experienced bakers in creating delicious breads and baked
goods.
11. Spend the afternoon exploring the magnificent Musee du
Louvre and enjoy an evening dinner at 58 Tour Eiffel, on the towers
iconic first floor!

From City to Mountains
Ride the high-speed TGV from Paris toward the French Alps and
stop in Geneva, Switzerland, before continuing on to Chamonix.

this picturesque alpine town and its rich winter sports

13,000 feet above ground by cable car.
