Tradition of drinking tea in Russia

Although part of the ritual of tea was adapted from the British custom, the way Russians take it is quite different from the rest of Europe, they have the figure of Samovar, a tea specially designed to prepare and serve tea.

This way of serving tea is used today in Russia, although the samovar is less used and has almost become a decorative element. What they keep making is the system of the two teapots.

On one side we have a small kettle containing the highly concentrated tea leaf infusion.

Ecuador will increase its exports to Russia

The European Union imposed economic sanctions on Russia after the conflict occurred with the Ukrainians.

CETCA, the main exporter of tea in Ecuador

In 2010, the company began to export black tea with the name “Hornimans”. The bulk sales continues in the same way and are exported to the United States, Puerto Rico, Germany, Holland and since January 2013 this year is also exported to Malaysia.

The firm processes an average of 700 tons of tea leaves and herbs per year: 10% is domestic consumption; 60% is exported to the USA and 30% in the rest of the world.

This company buys herbs producers around the country.

The” horchata”, another option to export.

The mainly activity in Chuquiribamba (Loja) is agriculture, 60% of its 198 square miles in area cultivated tubers, fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants for the production of horchata in case.
