Before you go any further with your planning you need to consider and legal and ethical issues raised by the making of the film. Filming with children Certification

All our scenes are going to be filmed in Wanstead Park, because it is a public place we will not need to get permission to film.The only people who are going to be in our film is the people in our group and two of our friends, we have also asked our friends for permission to film them which they have given us.The certification for our film will be a 15 because it is not rude and will not be too gruesome.Also to our own knowledge we have not copied any existing film material and we have not included any copyright music.In our film we are not including any children so we do not need to get permission for that and we are only filming in one location.

Ethical IssuesBeing sensitive to representations in your film and how different audience may perceive them e.g. gender, ethnicity, disability or issues such as rape/ drug use and terrorism

No sensitive issues will be included in our film such as drug use, rape or terrorism this is why our film is a 15. It will also not be sensitive to any representations such as gender, ethnicity, disability or sexuality.The audience may perceive that the main character that is going to be kidnapped is a stereotypical fit, good looking, white, female.

Our film is more of a psychological thriller and the only sensitive issues which will occur will be mainly when the dead body is uncovered and when we are filming passers-by may not know it is a film so we will be sure to make it look like a film set.

Health and Safety IssuesConsider the risks involved in filming: Night-time/ isolated/ dangerous locations, action sequences, filming cars/driving, filming with children/animals, props e.g. knivesDO NOT CONSIDER FILMING INVOLVING PERSONAL DANGER – DISSCUSS ISSUES WITH A TEACHER

We will be filming early in the morning 6/7am so the park will be quite isolated but we will be in a group of 4-6 so we will be safe.No dangerous props will be used and no dangerous activity will be taking place so no risk assessments will need to be taken.The only tracking shot will be of a girl on a run.Children and animals will not be in our film so permission will not be needed.The only risk assessment which will be in place is that a girl will be on a run and will be a POV shot of her on a run and she will be holding the camera whilst running and she will have to fall over which might be quite dangerous but we will make sure it is done with care and caution so herself and the camera aren’t in any danger.
