Suggestion #1 - Regular Workshops
Create a regular rotation of VNPT SCP workshops and lectures
Tailor each to student needs at that univeristy
Make free
Try to combine university students where possible
Need to have technology to inspire students
Need startups who are at all different stages of development
Suggestion #2 - VNPT IoT Certification
1. Free 3-5 week (Sat and Sun) IoT Training for students with VNPT certificates at the end.
2. Students have to pass certain tests, monitored by university faculty, entrepreneurs and VNPT to receive certificates
3. The VNPT certificate does not need to be certified by universities but individual faculty can sign using titles associated with universities
4. VNPT will provide and stamp certification5. VNPT will provide university experts, administration staff and facilities some
form of compensation.6. The project needs to have transparency and grant made available for
academic research and publication.
Suggestion #3- Competition
Competition Rules
● Students will create teams of at least three people.● Student Teams need to include students from at least two universities.● Before participating in the competition students must:
○ Attend a workshop○ Submit a 1-page summary of their IoT business idea○ Present a 60-second video explaining idea
● Student who are selected will attend the VNPT IoT Workshop● At that workshop, students will create Student Teams● Student Teams will be given 10 weeks to design a Minimally Viable Product
(MVP) using VNPT technology
Competition Timeline
1. Before Tet - Create logistics, marketing and materials.2. February after Tet - Announce the mandatory workshop3. March - VNPT, Houselinks and university faculty will select best students,
making sure to select students from different universities.4. April - June - Three stage competition develops with winner selected at the
end

● The workshop will be focused on the VNPT SCP, what it is, what it can do and on the particular business sector VNPT
● Students are given instructions so they can submit○ How to create and submit a 60-second pitch video○ 1-page explanation for using VNPT SCP to create a solution for that business sector
Competition - March
The best students will be selected, making sure to select students from different universities and with a focus on students with different talents and skill sets.
Competition - April
● Early April - Students selected will attend a 2-day session (Sat and Sun) where they will Learn practical skills about how to create an innovative startup, gain knowledge about a particular sector and also learn about how VNPT platform can be used. At the end of this session, students will form teams and be assigned university faculty advisors, VNPT and mentors from Houselink companies in the relevant sector.
Competition - May
● Early May - Throughout the month of April, Student Teams will work with the VNPT and entrepreneurial mentors, and be advised by faculty. During May, a second 2-day session (Sat and Sun) will take place. Student Teams will present business plans, market research, beta versions, UI/UX and get feedback from real business people in the sector. They will also hear from VNPT on how to improve their understanding of the platform, as well as from Houselinks businesses on ways IoT are being applied.
Competition - June
● Early June - Through the month May, Student Teams will continue working with the VNPT and Houselinks mentors, and be advised by faculty. During June, the final 1-day event will take place. VNPT and Houselinks mentors will discuss the value of working with universities and students. Startup Teams will present pitches to VNPT, Houselinks and angel investors. VNPT and Houselinks need to determine what type of prize - monetary, internships, etc. - they can provide winners.
