About Library XRural farming town Population of 1,200 people6 employees, including the director, who I interviewed for this project and will call SmithComplete renovation took place last year

Teen Programming at Library X Neglected teen programs until recently due to poor attendance in the past Are in the process of revamping teen programs Currently offering a book club and instructional classes, such as jewelry- and journal-makingThese programs have not been successful, so the librarians are going to reevaluate their approach to teen programming

Problems With Library Xs Teen Programs Programming is all based upon ideas obtained from online sourcesAlmost all programs follow the same format: instructional classAll programs led by library employees

Potential Solutions Add variety to programming and introduce passive programsUtilize teen programming experts and professionals Speak directly to the teens in the community to learn what programs they would like to see at the library

My Proposed Plan Of action for Library XStep 1: Talk to teens in the community and determine which suggestions would be feasible for the library to do.Step 2: Personally speak with librarians who have experience doing teen programs and contact professional teen programmers.Step 3: Execute programs that satisfy a variety of interests and measure the success of each one. It will take trial and error to determine which programs will be the most well received by the teen community.
