• In addition to the indirect object pronoun, we also use a clarifier to help us.

•The proper name for a clarifier is a prepositional pronoun. You may hear me refer to both names.

Placement

•In a statement, the clarifier goes at the beginning of the sentence.

•A mí me gusta el inglés.

•In a question, the clarifier is usually put at the end of the sentence, but could be found at the beginning.

• ¿Le gusta correr a ella?

•Once a prepositional pronoun has clarified the sentence, we no longer need to use it.

• ¿Le gusta leer a ella?

•Sí, le gusta leer.

•When you are listing multiple people, you need to use an “a” before each person.

•A mi madre y a mi tío les gustan los panqueques.

•A mí = to me (prepositional pronoun)
