Scientific calculator (only needed in the 3rd term).

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

The photocopies given by your teacher.

Numbered sheets or just a notebook

Text book in Spanish.

SCHEDULED WRITTEN TESTS:

Two or three written tests through each term (covering all the explained topics)

One remedial exam for every student who failed the assessment and wants to do a retake (you’ll do it in a lunch-break once the term report has been made; the marks may be changed up but never down)

PROGRESS CONTROL:

Your notebooks will eventually be collected. If a student fails to bring it that day he/she will get nil on this item. The notebooks should contain every explanation, exercise and photocopy the teacher supplied.

Some assignments will be put in Christmas, Easter and end of academic year; they must be handed on after holiday.

The teacher will eventually check for your homework in class.

HOW YOUR MARK WILL BE CALCULATED:

Weighted mean of written tests, holiday homework and notebooks qualifications.

The students will be given some extra credit according to their everyday effort and behaviour.

HOW THE FINAL QUALIFICATION IN MATHS IS OBTAINED

Every student who has failed a term assessment will remain fail.

Students who have passed all the partial assessments will get the arithmetic mean of those three marks.

RESOURCES:

Library (you will find there remedial exercises books and also texts to improve your knowledge)

Teachers (you can ask them questions and even take guided revisions in any classroom during breaks, provided they are available at that moment)

You are not to damage, litter or misuse the school facilities or student’s materials.

You must comply with the rules stated in the document ‘Regulamento de Réxime Interno’.

CLASS RULES:

To be allowed to speak or to get your teacher attention you should respect others.

Bad language, pushy behaviour, or not allowing others to work properly is unacceptable.
